I hear oblivion book was pre released at gen con. My group is looking to build a themed table for the campaign, and looking for any hints for a style, theme etc.
Are the campaign scenarios set anywhere in particular? Is there an obvious terrain centrepiece the scenarios would need?

I still haven’t opened my book yet. I’ll drop back in if I get around to it today.

No where in particular. I am not sure you can build one custom table for everything....the scenarios take place in tiers 1 through 4 in a variety of settings.
There are a variety of custom terrain pieces
but What I would do is think about the last table. The final battle is a 100 point, 2 caster battle with a 12 inch diameter "void" for the middle of the table. As I recall (by memory from reading yesterday while BBQ'ing) you don't need to worry about being able to stand on it as things that enter (but not sure it is fully within) are RFP'ed (yes, you can and should be encouraged to throw things into the void - especially if you are playing as the bad guys). There are 4 "nodes/cultists" that are working to open the void. These 30 mm (need to confirm) obstacles can NOT be interacted with or removed and I BELIEVE block movement (aka they are not flags).
So if I were going fluff......
A) Garden in Caspia (part of the fluff story) B) Big beautiful 12 inch thing for the middle of your table looking all interdimensional and evil. C) 4 things (perhaps models of our infernalists like Runewood, Orin, Nica, X) done in some sort of "quasi-incorp" white with blue highlighting?) with "power lines" radiating out from them sorta like Raiders of the Lost Arc.
That would generally work. I retain the right to revise when I get home tonight.

Any word on who the bad guy factions are? We’re speculating, but figure nearly everyone would fight the infernals.

Any word on who the bad guy factions are? We’re speculating, but figure nearly everyone would fight the infernals. Fluff wise or campaign wise? Campaign wise any faction can be good or bad guys. They recommend, but don't require, Infernals play as corruptors and warriors of the old faith/flames in the darkness play as guardians. The only requirement though is that half the players have to be good guys and half have to be bad guys. Players are actually allowed to switch factions as often as they like throughout the campaign. So one guardian player could play Legion then Mercs then Khador if they wanted to. Fluff wise noone is currently allied to the infernals unless they themselves are also infernalists.

Thanks for that summary - sort of what we guessed, but wanted to align with fluff if possible. Sounds like we'll be more or less random

They explained during one of the Dev Talks that if you play as Corruptor as, for example, Protectorate, that doesn't mean they're consciously helping the Infernals. It could be that they've been manipulated to do things that help the Infernals. That's why any faction can play as Corruptors.

Unless they are fielding the Wretch, your caster is probably already on the dark side at that point.

This is the total list of special terrain you could possibly need. In practice, you might only need about half of it max, depending on how your path through the campaign goes. Anyway:
Dense Fog (this terrain type has a special effect anywhere during the whole campaign)
Watchtower ("large obstruction")
4x 50mm "fuel canisters" + Depot ("large obstruction")
4x forests + multiple 3" AOE burning earth features (the 3" AOEs can get put into play and keep proliferating)
"Fort", consisting of: "one large obstruction" (presumably this is the fort building itself)
4x "obstacles" (walls, I guess?)
2x 50mm objectives ("Heavy Cannons")
"Fishing Village", consisting of: 6x obstructions ("homes") 2x 50mm objectives ("supply caches")
50mm objective ("wounded archon”)
8x 30mm objectives ("Morrowan dead")
Village, consisting of: 6x obstructions ("homes") 6x 30mm objectives ("villagers")
"Morrowan church", consisting of:
12" x 12" zone 1x wall template (door to the church) 1x 30mm objective ("Morrowan priest")
Train scenario, consisting of:
12" wide train tracks (My own note: what? That's a friggin' huge train...) Train station ("obstruction")
12" diameter circular zone ("Infernal portal") + 4x 30mm objectives ("ritualists")

Maybe the 12 inch train tracks are supposed to be multiple tracks side by side? That's the only way that makes sense.
