Man, you're getting good at snark, but you Firetrucking suck at reading comprehension. words like "seems", and "if/what" would almost infer that I don't know for sure that something has or will happen, and that it just seems like its possible because I have seen this happen in other industries (the medical and pharmaceutical industry is rife with this kind of shit, which is why non-disclosures and non compete clauses have gotten much bigger and more elaborative from what I have seen) the timeline also seems sketchy AF. you know everyone at PP, I'm sure you could ask around and use that awesome insider information to learn everything. As far as my personal mental health goes, I have a great life, make a good living, and do well enough for myself that I can sit around and think about things like this. I assure you I am doing just fine. Actually its called framing, and its like...basic media 101 if you want to draw people to a conclusion you want without ever coming right out and saying it.

And a few hours later... Maybe I am just feeling spicy, but I have changed my mind! Detail the conspiracy for me! I want in on this next-level Illuminati New World Order BS! Bring it! I also want to hear about "Big Miniature"... Posts like this help restore my faith in humanity.

Doug Seacat left too we're doomed!
On a slightly less hyperbolic note, he's still with PP part time, and he hasnt joined Pagani and co.

And like everything that comes out of marketing/PR, is only a cause for concern when the viewer is unable to think. So not really worth getting worked up about on a board with 10 people.

There were some people starting to blame the company on it, but I sarcastedly pointed out that with a lack of engagement by the customers on the fluff front (i.e. No Quarter being dropped due to lack of subscriptions, lack of book purchases causing the lines to be effectively dropped, etc), that blaming the company is rather counter-indicated.

True, if the majority (or just a significantly largeenough) portion of the fanbase doesn't care a sniff about the story, just the tournaments, then guess what? You won't get much fluff. Which is rather sad, as I'm with this game a large part becasue of the fluff (and because I enjoy the playstyle and like the sculpts) and I don't really care about tournaments.
At this point, I hope PP will find a way to broaden their fanbase to the less tournament-oriented crowd, because the game will be unsustainable on the long term the other way. Unfortunately, they have to build that up from the ground at this point. I don't think the game should change significantly and PP does support non-Steamroller play, I just think they need to communicate it more strongly and that they have to dedicate attention and resources to build back that portion of the fanbase again, because at this point, it's nearly extinct and by the nature of things, it'll lead to the slow death of the game.

Though part of the blame can still be on PP. The fluff books since MK3 started have been almost all cygnar focused. So of course people will not purchase them if they do not care about cygnar. So if they gave more factions the spot light, more people would have likely bought the books.

Even then, companies shut down counter-profitable aspects of their company all the time due to a lack of customer buy-in. It's not all a one-way street as some were saying. If they aren't getting a return, then there is no reason to continue it.
I have seen quite a few people complaining about a lack of narrative support, yet it is those places to find them that were dropped because of a lack of customer engagement. In most cases, they were not even aware that they were provided in No Quarter at all.

Let's take Oblivion as an example. I really want to read the book. But it costs $110 (AUD). Yes it comes with a mini. But that is GW level absurdity. I loved the old anthologies and the 'forces of' books. Oblivion is a good step in that direction. But I don't think making it an expensive package was the right way to go ...
