Ashlynns BG should always be something hard hitting, because nothing in LR hits hard. In all honestly I would skip on two ATGM to and include one unit of trencher infantry with CA for the rolling cloudwall. BUt that's just me. Wait. Wait. Just... just wait. Let me get this straight: a Swabber under an ATGMOfficer can slam a model away, knocking them down, and then pull them back in with the same attack?
That is awesome - I can just imagine someone getting slammed away by the impact of the harpoon only to suddenly be jerked in the opposite direction as the rope snaps tight and starts winding back. Can you say whiplash?

What might be interesting here is that, if you can trigger the slam, it seems to me that it could improve your chance of breaking armour and actually triggering the drag? Considering that you don't have focus for boosting damage after all (although Crit Brutal has the same effect and doesn't rely on there being something for the target to slam into of course, but it doesn't have the knockdown element).

Can you say whiplash? This is what I come to the boards for. I'm so busy thinking about the drag/snipe from way downtown, I hadn't even considered this. Does the knockdown trigger before or after the drag though? Can you drag them in and then Kung Fu Panda belly bump them away instead? |

That would arguably be even funnier. Let's see, it looks like Thunderbolt pushes on the hit, while drag happens after the attack is resolved, so... no, I think you push then pull, I don't think you can pull then push. Sadly. |

I can't ever run Ashlyn without a mule somewhere. Crit fishing is an artform and there are very few dreams better actualized than crit devastation. I'd put one on a unit of gunmages.

Thats where Swabbers shine, they've got Girded, Lash and Shield Guard.
The idea is to squeeze as many gunmages into base to base contact with the Swabber. It all falls apart against blast damage though... but that the nature of gunmages.
I'm building 50pts lists and its hard to fit in everything. At 75pts it starts to make sense though.
