I wonder if there are some CG shenanigans with her, considering the suit.

You don't have to pass them over. You can take those and Thorn Gunmages. Yup, one unit of ATGM is more than enough, and the UA is not mandatory (although they are one of the few true sight options in LR). The main advantage ATGM have over thorns is the snipe+sniper combo, when combined with repo 3 from gibbs is awesome. Also they gel with Ashlynn due to thunderbolt and feat. I'm keen to try the updated Mariner on the ATGM Officer for 4" Thunderbolt templates.

I feel like sniper isn't enough to make it worth passing over the trenchers, the storm lances, or the CG options. You don't have to pass them over. You can take those and Thorn Gunmages. I absolutely plan to! I run them now, and this just makes them better. I just can't see that benefit convincing me to ditch trenchers or rocketmans.

"MacHorne models/units" basically confirms Sam2 for riot quest I'd say, which is interesting. We got her art a while back. "Sam MacHorne, the One-Woman Show." Swanky new man of war armor; probably 4" chain strike melee range on the rocket fists; we also know she's still a jack marshal. Okay, it looks really awesome I hope her rules are too, so i can actually field her without regret.

Her pose and outfit just reminds me a lot of Locke, is the main point.

Its a class in the IKRPG. Ironheads are oddball tinkers that like mechanical stuff so much they create their own steam powered suit of armour, which they constantly upgrade and try to improve. Basically they are Tony Stark without lots of money, so many sell out as sellswords (see Steelhead Ironhead). Man-o-War armours are basically standardised and mass-produced Ironhead suits. And yes, Locke is reminiscent of an Ironhead, but i guess the main difference is that Convergence does not use steam powered mechanism because they view them as crude and prefers clockwork mechanisms instead, so i'd wager her exosuit isnt steam powered.

To echo sorokin, they're mechanics who build an armored suit for themselves. Khador industrialised the process to build suits for Man of War models.
There's no necessary link to the Crucible Guard. Individual Ironheads apparently exist in several of the IK cultures (and Rhul).
Given they're mechanics, some Ironheads are probably Cyrissists, with Locke as an example. But that doesn't mean all Ironheads are Cyrissists. And even those that are, aren't necessarily directly linked to the Convergence.
I suspect the pose and outfit point is more a practicalities of design issue (how do you show the person in the suit to make clear it isn't a jack? Where can the arms easily go?).
