Personally I think it's good... He's still a top tier combat solo for sure. He just wants to charge first?
What are your thoughts?
Salty?

It's basically range 8 bird and 1 inch melee.
Chain attack were given the info and then hungerford confirmed it on the facebook group.

I like it for the WYSIWYG aspect especially. For example even though I own Bane Riders I didn't like that they were helped by being given 2"reach while they obviously just have regular swords. The same applies to RoS Sentinels, who IMO should have 1" reach as well.
LotF should never have 2" reach just because it doesn't represent the model. It makes as much sense as giving lightly armoured skirmishers ARM 18 to buff them when they underperform.

As long as he remains free (so maybe up until oblivion, maybe forever) he is still an auto include. At 6 points, Grayle, morv2, and maybe some others are taking him all the time.
I do like the change tho, he's still an absolute monster of a free solo.

Yeah, that's totally fair and in keeping with the model. Still a seriously useful tool. I like it.

As a late game game piece he has a hard to use but huge range place effect and below par, for a super combat solo, normal threat... As is, general Tharn nerfs may change this, I believe some lists will stop taking him to take other good solos. He now hunts single targets to either try and cripple them with grievous (Luck based) or kill 1 lighly armoured target.
I've seen comments that with a buff he still kills lights so he is ok. Well... that probably takes a Pot and an upkeep and/or a blood shaman. Imagine what Savio would kill with +2 POW and S&P...
Still good, not auto-include. Is my veredict.
Before people say that auto-includes are bad for the game there are tons of auto-includes in this game and nearly every theme has at least 1. A bit salty about the melee reach, it's a vital stat on a melee piece and everyone gets it. Rules have been changed because of melee reach consideration.

Iona loses phantasm, and LotF goes to 1" melee and RNG 8".
I can totally live with this

I can live with it too!
*Rant
I am pretty disappointed in PP on the Iona nerf though. It's a really knee jerk change IMO. Statistically (outside of Champions) there is no reason for her to have been nerfed as she wasn't winning everything by any stretch of the imagination. I also slightly resent the "suggestion" that they might revert the change if it ends up being too much. Mainly because there is no track record of reverting nerfs, and therefore I cannot imagine a further change actually occurring.
*Rant over
Now with that being said I am excited to play some Circle!

I'd like a replacement spell. Not having a nuke is pretty bad.

For those who played Iona extensively, how do you think the change will affect her. Does it invalidate her into some matchups, or just make things tougher.

I haven't player her since the nerf, because too many other things have been interesting, but mostly I think that my Wolfriders will get Surefoot for the first turn or two before I cycle it to my Ravagers. If she had to be nerfed, that one is pretty painless.

And the nominee for Least Controversial Statement of the Year is:
Yeah, now that I've had a few games playing under the new rules; pretty much what they^ all said. Still a damn fine tool. Well worth the points - certainly still an amazing free requisition. Not necessarily an auto-include anymore (though close, if you were taking a Spirit Cauldron anyways...)

Yeah, he is still pretty good. I played a game the other day where LOTF took about 15 boxes off of a cage rager (granted he was within 5 inches of the king of nothing and thus was minus 2 armour). I finished the rager off with my Storm Raptor later in the turn. It was beautiful <3.
