I disagree about it not helping at least Abby 1. Now I can put a beast heavy list of hers into Ravens and take hellmouths. That as a theme benefit is worth not using the mark target one. The cherry on top is getting to take Golab as well. With sprint from Golab and refuge off Abby, plus hellmouths to hold down scenario, her hit and run game is better than ever.
If you toss in a grot assassin and deathstalkers you have a ton of grevious/anti-tough tech for dealing with all the healing/tough in the game right now.

Legion trooper dies > Bokor gets corpse token > Kallus feat procs and places an incubi > Incubi dies > bokor gets a corpses token Kallus' feat procs on Disabled, the model never reaches the Destroyed state. As far as I know, nobody gets corpse tokens from that. This is correct. It's one of the reasons Kallus's feat is pretty strong. There aren't a lot of simple ways to play around it. You have to either not kill stuff, kill beasts, or waste resources using power attacks or similar to create kills via "non attacks." On topic I must say I'm actually considering dusting off the work bench to finish fixing up all my Legion purchases (had a lot of recent releases I never finished putting together and had a lot of old stuff that needed touching up due to use) to try out the new themes. They actually look interesting and varied. We'll see how PT looks after the changes and if we get any appreciable balance updates, but I'm no longer looking at my army wistfully while thinking about maining Convergence like I was a few weeks ago.

It's a good thing they made the other themes better, because this is obviously unplayable trash without those two inches.

This is what I was worried about. Without a change to Hellmouths, or a change to make the themes that have access to them any worse or more limited, there will be little reason to play any of the other themes. Primal Terrors has it all so... Hooray...

They were changed! TWO INCHES
hellmouths on the 24" line? GODLIKE, every pairing, nay, every list. hellmouths on the 22" line? Time to look at other themes.
(there could still be some direct hellmouth change waiting, I don't know, but it's going to be a fine line to walk to not turn them into shelfmouths)

I should hope that the primary thought isn't that we start looking to other themes more because they make PT worse, but because our other themes got better. Is our community really complaining that they didn't beat PT into the ground?

So one person comments on a concern about PT, and another posts with a tongue so far into a cheek that it might be considered a new body part, and you jump to "is our community really complaining..."? Jesus Christ, welcome to Legion indeed.

Eh, it was every post in the legion forum since the theme spoiler was posted last Thursday, and the tongue-in-cheek post seemed to be using sarcasm to magnify the point of the previous post.
Sarcasm never translates reliably in text, even when it's recognized

I don't understand why the 2" rule had to go, now you're often playing this theme with zero special rules.

I don't understand why the 2" rule had to go, now you're often playing this theme with zero special rules. Because it was removed from all themes bar Hammer Strike? You are getting the same treatment as anybody else.

It is a very positive change to remove that stuff across the game. Far too many lists were pushing hard up the table on turn 1 and putting player 2 on the back door from the start.
I don't like losing a second benefit altogether though. It seems a little lazy, especially with the first theme benefit just being something that should be on the models' card.
