For years now PP has managed to kill all the hype about hteir releases, CID turning into a hype-killing machine as loss aversion made people focus on the nerfs and not on the juicy new content
They have? Maybe here on the Lormaforums, but on the FB groups and discords, there's a ton more excitement. Lormahodes forum: “What’s that? Echo chamber? How dare you call us an echo chamber!” Crowd: “Yeah! You tell them!”

In the ones I particpated, roughly until manowars, the attention and the whining was more focused on the nerfs than on the new units. So mucho that I believe that the general WM/H FB discussion group had to be changed or something related to that...

If people cant get excited for the oblivion theme changes / dynamic updates, varied offer in games (monPoc and Riot quest), types of play (SR 2019, oblivion narrative campaign), then perhaps PP products aren't for you and moving on to other more satisfying hobbies/ companies is something to be considered.
PP have their flaws like any other company. Expecting perfection is unreasonable in everything in this world, let alone a game company. Especially when said perfection is often sinonymous with "i know whats best for this game and unless it is the way i think it should be it sucks".
PP have had their downs but not this time.

Yeah... because it is definitely in a company’s best interests to have a vocal disgruntled minority setting the tone that all potential new customers see when they try to get involved with your community. : p

PP also doesn't run those Facebook groups, unless we want to make a fun conspiracy theory. I like both Lorma and FB groups because between the doom and gloom of the general forums here and the weird over-optimism there, is the whole story.

The doom and gloom can be a bit much, I was having trouble discussing anything.
I realize this forum prides itself on being the sober realists, but anything can be taken too far.

That reminds me of something PP has been doing for a long time that has REALLY bothers me: the Troll attitude.
I mean, let's be honest. Whenever the community was almost shouting to PP that there was a problem (Cryx Theme forces, Una2, nemo3, hayley2) the reaction from the Wills was usually "hahaha, these people telling us how to do our job. Let the meta settle. Git gud", only to end up nerfing the problem a couple of month later. That, along the lines of totally unoriginal designs until - maybe - infernals, makes me really think that they are not great game designers at all.
And that's ok, working with WM/H is a daunting task, but having a trollish attitude towards something that you know that will never be truly balanced or can always be better designed really puts me off about PP's image as a brand and company. And I mean it being a guy that's totally a fan of Matt Wilson from MK1.
Then they are blow off the forum, blames us for our complaint. Ha, what a hypocrisy! It seems that they did not think their own failure and bad attitude. I fear that PP will be more familiar to the lies and try to hide the truth and shut the mouth in the future. Starting to ridiculous 'free rider' insistence, well, honestly, I don't get it. What I know is dawn will come. Whatever they tries to slaughter the roosters, it cannot stop the sunrise. What I fear is, how much roosters are able to see the next sun. Wtf?

Especially when said perfection is often sinonymous with "i know whats best for this game and unless it is the way i think it should be it sucks". PP have had their downs but not this time. Ya, exactly. As a casual normie some of the posts in this forum confuse me. I don't wander into the forums of games I don't play or like to post. More productive to just spend time with my wife, kids, or get some more certificates for the only game that matters. Seeing people wax poetic outrage or post negative things about a game other people authentically enjoy playing is puzzling. I have friends who play other games and I don't wander into Mantic, X-Wing, or 40k forums to post "grievances". If you don't like the products PP has to offer (which is a pretty diverse field and more so in 2020), then just try a different game. And I say this as a guy who plays different games from different companies (Deadzone - Mantic, Battletech Alphastrike - Catalyst Labs, The Otherside - Wyrd). If you don't like ANY PP offerings just don't buy them and definitely don't wander onto forums to wax poetic outrage. You just come across as....well odd for everyone but the most "hardcore".
