Oh any change is a welcome change. And the trenches are great and rise, if it happens, is welcome. Better than what it was at the very least. Salvage is neat? Farrow are basically the Orks of warmachine. So they have that WW1 German horde with some mad max thrown in there. I want to stay positive but years of getting my teeth kicked in by dudes running forward and me having to play a dice game my opponents don’t have hardened me. It’s why I want to play pig infantry as a minions player we don’t often get to say “snakes only” or “anything but.” Slaughterhousers on the charge or death march brigands with prey up get to do that 😉 Azahul you make playing our faction look easy. So much so that apparently you have an entire continent wanting to nerf pigs further

Oooooh have you been arguing with Australians about whether pigs deserve buffs?

Correct. It’s caused a bit of an uproar in our large New Jersey meta in which I am the only minions player. Basically my understanding is that your average steamroller player isn’t going to roll people with arkadius and that one guy out of hundreds is doing well. I say give that to you for learning pigs. Or maybe your opponents just need to get better 😋

The buffs have received an uproar or the argument with Australians has caused an uproar? Man, I should have tried to get to New Jersey while I was in New York. I left today. Got a couple of games in with the New York crowd though that I'll need to find time to write up. Good folks there I'll tell my regular opponents that they just need to play better. They looooove hearing that from people in other metas

Both? You should have! Though we are south so that would have been a hike. We take in a lot of Philadelphia and Delaware crowd. Although we are about to have a huge party dubbed Drunkmachine in which some big names from Canada are being flown in. Still the only minions player.

I agree with Carver vs Arky. Carver is definitely the lock I'd like to see fully reworked. The I'm not a huge fan of the other warlocks but they do unique stuff, where Carver and Arkadius just compete with each other.
Switch Mobility for Crusaders Call. Switch Batten Down the Hatches for Even Ground. Make his feat affect ranged attacks as well, then he's thematically doing similar stuff, just with everything Farrow instead of all beasts.
I hate to be that guy, but beating Arkadius does usually mean playing/building better. With S&D you are sometimes up shit creek though.

I had so much fun at Lock and Load that I'm sure I'll be back in the States at some point in the next year or two. There may be other opportunities

What SHOULD have happened is that Devourer's Host should not have had the corpse token. What makes thematic sense (read the fluff) is that these boars like MEAT. And they should get STRONGER as they start to eat. A hard to deliver faction that simply brutalizes you as it gets into your lines would be joyous - the idea of say a single slaughterhosers would have been fantastic.

I'm having a hard time parsing this. Are you saying pigs should have gained a corpse mechanic similar to Tharn Ravagers?

I think the Ravengers should have gotten something else. Not sure what so that it is thematic but a lot more fluff on Pigs that has them essentially eating everything and especially Meat. Hell - look at the name of our BE ;-)

Well, Ravagers are heart-eating cannibals who draw power from those rituals. I feel it's a mechanic that makes sense for them.
It does frustrate me though that Slaughterhousers are actually the direct opposite though. They don't just not collect corpse tokens, they stop anything else from collecting corpse tokens (like Midas) thanks to Take Down. Butchery changing to restore anti-synergy with Slaughterhousers still bugs me a fair bit.

I'm not sure how eating meat giving you strength makes more sense than eating hearts in order to draw strength from an extremely powerful deity. Especially considering that the reason why tharn men are so big is because of their connection to said deity giving them unnatural strength.
Eating hearts giving you magical strength makes more sense than "I'm hungry as shit."

Pigs needed an overhaul. The theme changes and cheaper slaughterhousers are a start, but certainly won't make them competitive. The beasts changes are pretty good, hopefully they fix the Road Hog too. Hungerhord mentioned Adrenalize so unfortunately the Battle Boar will probably stay as is. I'm looking at starting Skorne so I can use my Farrow warbeasts properly. The War Hog will be the most efficient beater in Skorne now, and they can buff it way better. I hate to be that guy, but playing pigs competitively does usually mean playing/building better
