Haha, don't worry about it too much It took me a while to get into doing it for my own battle reports. I did find that it improved my personal play in the end though, since I was able to more easily review the positioning component of my game play. Learning is a personal thing though, so I can hardly say "Take pictures, you'll play better!"

Haha, don't worry about it too much It took me a while to get into doing it for my own battle reports. I did find that it improved my personal play in the end though, since I was able to more easily review the positioning component of my game play. Learning is a personal thing though, so I can hardly say "Take pictures, you'll play better!" For CID I can use the turn-by-turn pictures to remind myself of just about everything that happened that turn. I've recently started using Iron Grudge so I have a reminder of what the scenario, roll-off and first turn were, but most of the important details come back to me as I start writing. I definitely won't start doing turn-by-turns on the blog, because the reports will get too long and will take at least twice as long to write as well, so it would take too large a chunk out of my day. I've considered doing deployments and post-game shots though, but I keep forgetting to actually take the pictures. Now that the WTC is over, I will probably start putting some time into non-meta casters again, for shits and giggles, but those lists might not be fully painted, so maybe I'll be too embarrassed to take pictures anyway.

By popular request, now with pictures. Note that this probably won't always be the case as I sometimes forget and/or get too lazy to actually upload them

smeerlapperij.home.blog/2019/11/02/paris-masters/ New report up of a 6-round tournament. I got a bit carried away and it ended up quite long and detailed, but sadly there wasn't really a lot of time to properly take pictures. I hope you guys can still appreciate it, some real nail-biters in there.

Just wanted to get back and say that I have a new tournament report lined up, but I need to have some free time at home to upload the pictures. You can start guessing the casters I played and how well I did Hopefully I will have some time tonight.

Very cool. I am the attrition in my local meta. Still don't know what I would do against a heavy armor skew though (Grymkin).

Very cool. I am the attrition in my local meta. Still don't know what I would do against a heavy armor skew though (Grymkin). Few years ago I played Terminus Dark Host into Grymkin. I'm not sure if it still holds up, but the point is to just flood the board with so many Banes that some will arrive/hit, then splash in a few Stalkers to deal with the Sacrifice you can't one-round. I think it should still do fine. It's important to note that Grymkin aren't all about corpses anymore, because the Clockatrice is so prevalent. If you play an infantry attrition with recursion, you will most likely grind through them eventually. The Denny 3 list worked quite well, as long as you are able to leverage the Hermit and your heavy hitters. I think one of the big problems with Cryx right now as that most questions can't be answered by "Skarre 1". Have an accuracy problem? Dark Guidance got your back. Have a durability and/or power problem? How about one of the most explosive feats in the game? It used to be that if you had a power problem, you would reach for Banes, but they all have an accuracy problem, so it's difficult to make a good pair around them. Riders hit accurately, but only moderately hard and don't attrition all that well, except with certain casters. Hell, it used to be that Cryx didn't care about accuracy, nor power, but debuffs are pretty unreliable and can't be everywhere at once. Hence, it is all too easy to reach for our humble Pirate Queen and have her fix all the problems without having to roll any dice. I must say, this is slightly bad for the game and the faction, because it stifles new releases, like Denny 1 used to do, and limits list building. But on the other hand, some factions ask such hard questions, that I have no idea how to answer them if Skarre 1 were to fall out of favor. I'm trying to come up with something new as a pairing, but whatever I make, I always come upon glaring holes.

That is a good point. There needs to be some downside so a caster is not so dominate in a faction. For example Vlad1 has Signs in Portents and a great jack feat, but it costs 4 focus. So even though he appears as a jack caster because of the feat, the amount of jacks taken is fairly narrow because you can dump 4 for SnP, but too many jacks and you are just doing a really cool pillow fight, too few and you are not getting enough mileage out of your feat.
