Been having some good success with this. Lost round 1 with a B3 Jaws list (Magehunter strike force still pretty darn solid into poor DEF 10 Khador) but won the next 2 rounds with this: A top of 2 assassination of Gore4 and then a long grindy game with the Scorne fat man with 4 huges bases as the Doomies did work. What makes it sing, I think, is the eliminators (cause people have to put in stuff to kill them and that means MOAR DOOMIES) and then the ponies with HoF (they totally crushed sentinals that were TRYING to screen. Big questions for the future have to be Victor - and whether there is a smarter load out. Not sure if there is - that is a very nice center piece - even if it DID get show off the board by Mammoth. And then what in the world to pair it with - probably OW2 in either jaws or WGI to help mitigate the shooting. Bit of a list chicken so have to be smart about that list.... conflictchamber.com/?c3201b_-0K77f8nj8h8hnf89nf89nfnfnhchKhador Army - 75 / 75 points [Theme] Wolves of Winter [Vladimir 2] Vladimir Tzepesci, the Dark Champion [+27] - Victor [34] - Greylord Adjunct [0(4)] Koldun Lord [0(4)] Koldun Lord [0(4)] Doom Reaver Swordsmen [10] - Greylord Escort [3] Doom Reaver Swordsmen [10] - Greylord Escort [3] Doom Reaver Swordsmen [10] Doom Reaver Swordsmen [10] Greylord Outriders (max) [17] Kayazy Eliminators [5]

Just curious how the top of round two assassination went down. I haven't tried Vlad2 or the Wolves of Winter theme yet but plan on getting in on the table next game.

Just curious how the top of round two assassination went down. I haven't tried Vlad2 or the Wolves of Winter theme yet but plan on getting in on the table next game. First, understand, opponent made an error but I still think I get it.....and I screwed up a part of the run _I_ should not have.....
1) She puts down 2 clouds. I BELIEVE Gore had 1 focus.
2) She minifeats with the sentinals and feats with Gore. 3) Ponies who started with HoF move up and spray for _DAYS_. Kill off about 8-10 sentinals that were in the way. No damage on Gore4 cause cold immune.
4) Vlad moves up. Sadly moving out of range of the adjunct (boo) so I missed being able to hot swap HoF onto (edit) Victor. Vlad gets rid of the clouds and feats. 5 tokens (I believe but needed only 4). 2 go on eliminators. Rest are going on
5) Bad Santa #1 goes ahead and kills off last sentinal that I need to die. 6) Bad Santa #2 goes ahead and Puppet masters Victor 7) Victor shoots Gore4. Misses. Puppetmasters. Now hits. Boosts damage. She reduces damage. Is on fire. 6) Eliminators charge in (edit) and Kill off 2 remaining sentinals that could freestrike doomies. . They each do one swing before getting frozen by his feat 7) 2 Doomies goe in. I believe this kills him. I had 2 more doomies ready to go.
The above burned through 25 minutes of clock, I think, as I planned out the movements and made sure to get everything right.
It was a horrible match up for her. The main defense Gore offers sentinel spam is the cloud wall which vlad2 laughs at.

Just for the record, Shade4 feat only freeze on destroyed, so if your eliminator are charging shade4 himself they can go for two hit without any problem.

Thanks for the play-by-play sand20go. I have never played Vlad2 and was curious how you leveraged his spells and feat in this match up.

Thanks for the play-by-play sand20go. I have never played Vlad2 and was curious how you leveraged his spells and feat in this match up. Key is thinking about HIS order of activation so you can successfully swap HoF and thus maximize its advantage and then ensure that you are able to leverage arcane might so you can spend focus boosting. If you are going for the caster kill you are likely either succeeding or dying on the counter so there is no reason not to leverage that spell if you have focus left over. He actually is relatively easy to play in Wolves because you can't put Hand of Fate onto the Doomies. Arcane Might is the secret sauce - providing a way, for example, for you to start doing fun things like boosting beserk attack damage/ boosting the second swing from eliminators.

List beat Wormwood in Bones last night. Opponent just learning circle so I am not sure a great match up. Big thing is that Victor was able to snipe out a Sentry stone which significantly helps (like a LOT). Ultimately the speed of the doomies (gosh AD is so good) and the way they create scenario presence carried the day.
