My guess is no 2020 faction. I would think they are going to be releasing a significant number of models for RiotQuest. I also would NOT be surprised to see them TRY to monetize the new campaign system (I know I would) through things like custom warmaps/matts and possible licensed flat terrain that is of particular sizes and shapes for the campaign. Really anything to encourage purchases rather than home brewed alternatives. That is the challenge - how to generate revenue as the game has matured.

im expecting 2020 to bring a reorganisation of WM/H rather than a new faction. Not a new edition per say. But a realigning of things, maybe streamlining. TBH im sort of expecting that the up coming campaign will move the fluff forward giving PP a valid story reason to shift things all about. My guess is no 2020 faction. Off hand, I wouldn't be surprised if both of these applied. New models for RiotQuest get promulgated for all the Factions, serving as a win-win (if RiotQuest takes off). We will probably see a new campaign for the winter and/or summer which would then get in to a Mk 3.5 or Mk 4 set up so the game can start being more marketable against the Warhammers and Star Wars.

Wasnt there a pressrelease a while back, like when they launched Grymkin, that the new business model was going to be a new faction every year?

Are gobbers even able to marshal 'jacks or control 'beasts? obviously the answer to that is whatever the Firetruck the writers want it to be, but I dunno if the current lore would allow that, and you can't have a WMH army without them. A new minions theme for the scum of the savage races / non-circle devourer worshippers could be neat. Gobbers, idrians, outlaws, ogrun, etcetera. but then, that's not quite what you're asking for. They can't cast spells, but the can be jack marshalls. So if you were to introduce a new type of commander, say a "War Marshall", you could have a warmachine Gobber army. That would be pretty cool and I would buy the box for sure.

We have yet to see the northern necromancers with their blue-eyed ice zombies and unusual warbeasts (like those Capt Chris Pine Kirk ran from in Star Trek).
Nor the Zu warbands with bonded warbirds and lesser warbeast swarms of corrosive noctroaches (boosted attacks while in clouds - nocturnal!).
Rask could break from Blindwater, having shown his deep water allies, the Nagnugs, the pollutant dangers of the surface world in need of a 'cleansing'.

It's not uncommon for a company to change plans if the situation warrants it, and are under no obligation to state it publicly.

Khador becomes the bastion of Morrowism. Cygnar has completed converted to Menoth again, but the Protectorate has converted to Thamarism. Cryx has fallen in to disrepair as their lord dragon finished of his youth and taken over the Legion. Ios has become a mad max dystopia after the Skorne shattered their infrastructure. Trollkins and Skorne have divided up Ios' tech and have become the most advanced races on Immoreth. Only the Circle and Convergence have little changed in all this in terms of play style, however, they have shattered in to factions due to internal politics, each following the significant personalities in the faction, but willing to work for others. Meanwhile, the Thornfall and Blightwater have grown in to their own nations, threatening the fragile structures of the more "civilized" nations. Mercs, Crucible, and Grymkin keep doing as they do, because that's who they are.

I was merely comenting that saying "there will be no 2020 faction" would be going against stated PP policy.

The Gobber Revolutionary Army is on the horizon! Rise up my brothers and sisters and cast off the chains of societal oppression! For too long have we suffered under the weight of terrible decisions by our human "leaders!" From making deals with infernals, to summoning living terrors from Urcaen, to using Orgoth relics without proper safety precautions, time and again these humans have demonstrated at best poor judgement, at worst outright maliciousness and suicidal greed! Now is the time for all Gobbers across the Iron Kingdoms to band together and form our own nation. One where we will be safe from the ravages of human wars, human magic, and human oppression! The arrival of Archons from our great mother Dhunia is a sign. We must free ourselves and forge our own destinies. Rise up Gobbers! Rise up! I would really like to see a Gobber army. Part of the reason I want to play Cygnar is for the gobbers. Well it's not official, and it's not done yet, but you're welcome to take a look at my attempt at a Gobber Mercenary Faction.

I know they said a while back it would be a new faction every year, but I hope they take a break in 2020, judging by how light Infernals was on models they seem to be struggling production wise

I hope that they use 2020 to increase the reach of the game, make it more accessible and appealing to new players, directing and assisting the community more, as well as being more active in pushing the hobby and painting side of the things to attract those sorts of gamers as well.
Just banging out another faction is not going to help things
