Cygnars ability to just outright kill LoTF and the Tharn UAs definitely is really weak right now...

If cygnar cant get shots deep into enemy lines no other faction can.
The above comment sounds more like sarcasm than anything else.

Sarcasm indeed x) People need to remember that Haley3 in Gravediggers is not the only Cygnar List after Nemo3 nerf and that boosted lighting is not the only way to deal with stealth in the game. Scalpeling out key things is kind of what Cygnar does and it is something you really need at the moment to disrupt synergy chains. I think the lack of popularity is not power lever but just that there are so many new shiny toys to test before starting to undust the "old stuff".

I think the lack of popularity is not power lever but just that there are so many new shiny toys to test before starting to undust the "old stuff". To illustrate the point, I try to incorporate some guns into most of my Cryx lists to deal with some of the nasty things out there. If a melee faction like Cryx has to do this, then Cygnar should indeed be very good at it. I'm guessing Cygnar players are finding it more difficult to find a decent pairing that covers the field (they're not alone) as well as finding the balance within lists (don't go overboard on shooting, because then you're weak to jamming) I assume many are also feeling outperformed by CG and are looking for greener pastures?

Just as a counterpoint to the conversation about Cygnar being "dead", the Oceanic Team Championship has a good number of Cygnar players in it. While I'm based in the UK I have always found that our local gamin group is more similar to Australian scene both in approach and type of lists. conflictchamber.com/?event=806So why is it that the Oceanic players feel that Cygnar iv viable but the US feel they are dead? Is it just that the Australians are living in the future?

To be fair, in a team environment things that would normally be nonviable can become viable because you can control your matchups more and it's unlikely the entire opposing team is a horrible match for Cygnar.

I think nowdays most factions struggle to find a decent pairing... not just cygnar.
I mostly play legion and i also strugle to find a decent pair...

Crucible is a better Cygnar than Cygnar. Why even bother?

Crucible is a better Cygnar than Cygnar. Why even bother? Aesthetics? Preference? Differing opinion? A real fetish for lightning? A thing for WW1 doughboys?

Crucible is a better Cygnar than Cygnar. Why even bother? Disagree, because once the lines close Cygnar actually have some models that are really good in melee... Crucible Guard (every time I’ve seen it) struggles way more in melee then Cygnar. Knowing that you can leverage it to your advantage... also I still think most of Cygnar’s ranged jacks are better then what CG has access to.

1) What tarpits does cygnar have that come anywhere CLOSE to Halbies or Rocketmen (both with UA) under Transmutation? 2) What unber contesters/scenario pieces does CYgnar have that come anywhere close for 3 points that are called trancers?
And with 1+2 then issue then becomes that CG rarely (ever?) needs to close. They can play the ranged game all they want to great ranged platforms - some of which LAUGH at typed weapons. All your weapons fire based? You might not even bother dropping into certain CG lists as you will be permanently a dice off (or no damage) on your rolls.

That perception is actually completely opposite of the reality. Unless the Crucible Guard players are running max or double Rocketmen...in which case they should expect to lose frequently.

This was the complaint cygnar players made about ret, when ret came out.
