OK folks. Ready to engage in some non net listing but I think a couple of underappreciated models that deserve another "look see" depending on how the new SR packet shakes out (and your ability to pick up on the cheap on the internet.)
Blyth and Bull
I hear the collective laughter of the galaxy at this one but here me out. In jaws, assuming FOG from S0, you have a good chance of being Def 17/15 vs. shooting. You can, with prey, get them up to RAT 8 against their targets. But the biggest thing is that you can use them, if they are toeing into a zone with a jack, have a pretty decent way of knocking them out with a RAT 8 (assuming prey) beat back shot. They are a LOT more tanky (especially bull) than eliminators to shooting. They also give you a decent access to take down - providing additional RFP against things that you may wish to RFP. While I wish Bull's gun was RNG 12....and I wish Blyth had more than a phew phew pistol - if a key win condition for your list (Butcher 3? Sorsha1) is bullying a zone they could be something to consider.
Gurdrun
Gurdrun
Now I will readily admit that he is a point too expensive. Should be 5. His rule set is almost the definition of Skornergy, but I think this guy at SP 6, pathfinder and then all the rules holds/contests flags like NO one's business. Turn 2 run him to the flag (or if you can - walk him). Binge drink. Fall down. No targeting. I will defer to the rules lawyers right now but I am not sure he EVER
needs to stand back up again if he doesn't want to (when they changed
the SR packet they removed the restriction that things need to
activate). Now if he is disabled he heels right back up, falls back down. But should he need to do work in the late game - that is a pretty tasty POW 15 zerk attack on a MAT 7 model.
This seems particularly of value in Wolves - a theme were we do NOT have great flag camping solos. You DO lose champs like Orin, Rags (point less) or other great 5 point mercs. But, again, if your win condition is to play the scenario game and you want to make sure you can score, he seems pretty darn decent - especially into a shooting army that would like to eliminate your flag sitters at range.

Anyway, some love for the shelf dwellers on a Monday. Enjoy.
