Hi all, I'm working on a homebrew theme force featuring: Minions! Here is the lore excerpt I came up with:
"Everblight does not discriminate in those he captures and enslaves for his Legion. The Legion posses a small number of non-Nyss or Ogrun warriors, as well as the warbeasts they worked alongside. These individuals were either captured, or hired then turned on later. Regardless of how they were incorporated into the Legion, their skills and capabilities form the backbone of a specialized force designed to deal with threats other groups in Legion can’t properly combat."
Right now, the benefits I've come up with are: - Minion models in this army become Legion models. - Warlocks in this army gain Sacrificial Pawn [Legion Warrior].
I'm looking for more suggestions on potential benefits for a Minion-centric Legion theme force. Does anyone have any suggestions?

Kiss of Lylith meshing with farrow briggands hell yeh! That second rule seems rediculously overpowered though.
I guess you'd need a rule that allows for more then the one unit and one solo.

Oh well I would just remove the “one model/unit” restriction. Both benefits I have listed are simply ideas. The only normal Legion models would be a few solos and units like the spawning vessel.

So if I wanted to really give Legion a minions theme, I would focus on the corrupting influence of the blight.
I think there is no better representation of this then Incubi. I would double down on them some how. Maybe let them spawn from enemy warrior models? Maybe let them spawn from friendly (not not faction) models? Probably both, really. They would need to be free choice, same as they are in CotD.
Theme would include: Minion units (any number) Blighted Rotwings Spawning Vessel Incubi Succubus Hellmouth Forsaken Non-character warbeasts
Warrior Units would count towards freebies, 1/20 points. Free choices: Solos and Spawning Vessels. Incubus in this army treat all living warrior models as friendly faction warrior models and can spawn whenever they are destroyed (no longer restricted to enemy attacks).

I forgot to mention ahead of time that this is a part of a larger theme force project: No free points Four powerful benefits (so that theme forces are a MUST) No minions/mercenaries unless it fits the lore. Remove model-specific buffs Give all main factions 5-6 themes, where possible (lore permitting) I understand not a lot of people will like really ANY of those ideas, but its my personal project that I wanna do, so. 🤷🏼♂️ (Its also combined with model fixes, new warlocks, character beasts, and misc models).
