I've been away from the hobby for a while, and decided to get back into it with a brand new faction. Khador.
I've been wanting to start a Khador force for some time, but never did because my good friend played it, and we didn't want to end up doing mirror matches. But since he no longer plays the game, I decided it was finally time to build that Khador army. And what better theme to do it with than the Armored Corps.
Here's my progress over the last 3 weeks.
To start things off I wanted to put my models on some nice bases. I've learned a lot over the last couple of years, and decided to try and tackle something I didn't have the guts or skill to try before. Making ice bases using resin.
I decided to put some cracks into the ice for the Victor, to make it look like it was giving way under the machine's weight. I used photographs for reference to try and make it look good.
So much red paint. Thank the maker for airbrushes. Saves TONS of time.
The demo corps was the first to get finished. The bases still need some additional snow effects and the odd tuft of dead grass, but those will be added after everything else is done. Next was the Victor.
Still lots to do.
Tanker is ready.
Starting to look like an army
but there is still more to do

Looks really nice. Man I dig that scattering ice beneath the colossal's foot. That's really creative and looks awesome!

Damn man, your Khador is looking amazing! Great choice by the way. Lovely bright clean reds and golds, it's great work. I love your ice bases, and the cracking under Victor's foot is a wonderful detail, it looks fantastic!

Some more progress has been made. There's still a lot of additional details to do on several models. And some are only halfway finished, but at least the army can be used on the table now, between paint sessions. Still waiting for my Sorscha3 to arrive at the LGS though.

Clean work! Cool bases, too. I agree the stompy ice cracking effect is sweet.

Why thank you guys, glad you like the cracked ice effect so much. I'm mighty pleased with it myself. managed to get a good deal on some gently used casters. after a soak in some cleaner and a fresh spray of black, these are ready to be painted.
Angry Old Man and his Doggos, Scary Old Lady and her Chicken ( or is it Ostrich? ) bot. The ever beloved Ice Queen, and the man with the coolest looking gun in all Khador ( in my not so humble and definately biased opinion )
