If you haven’t done so yet, get yourselves on over to PP’s Facebook and Twitter accounts to vote for our Warcasters.
Seriously, Sorscha is currently behind in single elimination to Ashlynn!?!?

Hah. I was a bit shocked, I am hoping Sorscha wins.

While I'm a fan of both, do we really need more Sorschas? Ashlynn2 on the other hand...

PP is doing a march madness style bracket thing where folks vote between two casters, and will "do something interesting" with the character that wins.

My only wish is that I could vote for Ashlynn more.

My only wish is that I could vote for Ashlynn more. Yes. Hopefully Ashlynn will die and we can be rid of her forever!

I’ve been voting on all of them on FB. Sorcha v Ashlynn is definitely the hardest choice I’ve had to make yet.

On the one hand we have a Khadoran Child born of commoners that felt the call to serve the Motherland and rose through the ranks thanks to her grit and determination.
On the other hand we have a daughter of privileged nobles that want to reinstate a monarchy that misrepresented their citizenry.
I think the choice is quite clear.

Ashlynn emphatically does not want the return of the monarchy, because Kaetlyn is now married to Julius and once they have a child the Cygnaran and Llaelese crowns will be one and the same, inevitably leading to Llael's annexation within a generation. She's already foreseeing the need to go to war with Cygnar next if she manages to kick Khador out, and even got Stryker to promise he'd join her side in that war. Her alliance with the Crucible Guard is intended to build relations with Ord to ensure a free Llael can stay that way.

So in addition to a privileged noble, she's also an usurper and a pretender. I knew those greylord informants were accurate in her assessment

All Ashlynn has ever done in the story is mope and complain about how evil Khador is, while waging a guerrilla war that directly harms her “countrymen” (who she obviously doesn’t care about) who are now under Khadoran rule. She has no plan, she has no direction, all she wants to do is hurt Khador.
“Waaah, waaah, Khador is so evil, all they ever did was get rid of the ridiculously corrupt aristocracy that was grinding down Llael and replace a system I obviously hated with an imperfect but slowly-improving and unquestionably more egalitarian system of rule. Waaah, waaah, I probably would have led a revolution against the Llaelese government myself in a few years anyway had history gone slightly differently, but noooo, I’m gonna cry my mascara off and go around being angry at everyone instead.”
She has zero substance and deserves to get killed off already and put this frigging NEVERENDING Llael storyline to bed.

Your fluff knowledge seems questionable... She just brought a new faction into the game, and has clearly moved beyond pure revenge against Khador to a "defend Llael vs all outsiders" motivation. And we know the Llael plot is ending this year after Stormbreak. If Llael wins she'll face the moral quandary of whether or not to take power herself (which seems probable); if Khador wins I wouldn't be surprised to see her have some sort of Petain-inspired plot where the great defender becomes the cowed leader of Vichy Llael.
