Why isn't Cyrenia popular in tournaments (which seem to be primarily Harbinger and Reclaimer)?
She seems to work well in both of our best themes and has a toolbox kit. Is it because she poses no 'questions'? I.e. Harbinger basically requires the opponent to have grevious wounds, while Reclaimer requires some sort of anti-judicator tech.
With the advent of the dirt cheap initiates I'm thinking that casters like Kreoss2, Cyrenia and Feora3 would like FM quite a bit.

People enjoy mashing easy buttons over nuanced play?

She has some conflicting and inefficient things she wants to do. Battle Plans and Dash make her want a bunch of Exemplars, but Positive Charge makes her want a bunch of melee jacks. Her feat is very meh. +2 Def is... ok. Turning def12 into 14 is good, but its not really worth it as a feat. And its combined with an ability that lets you move models when stuff dies. But the moving models aren't immune to free strikes or anything. A feat which makes stuff 'slightly' harder to kill but also wants your stuff to die. Its confused and not all that effective, which is a good summation of PP's design for this faction over the last few years. She would be more interesting if her feat was "Friendly Faction models in her control area gain +2 Def and Righteous Vengeance for one round" and her Desperate Mission battle plan gave something that was actually useful. like Vengeance or Retaliatory strike. She's not bad. She's ok, in a faction that has a lot of very good casters. Its made even worse because the thing she was "designed to do", run Exemplars, is done massively better by several other casters. Vindictus delivers Exemplar better than she does. Kreoss2 and Feora3 buff their damage better than she does. Yeah, she has a toolbox of abilities. Not of which are bad persay. But the combination is just not a good one.
Its the same kind of, but not as bad, problem that Malakus has. A collection of good spells and abilities thrown together in a completely unsynergistic manner that is less than the sum of its parts.

It seems playing her into EI may be a trap. There are better casters there that don't see much play either (e.g. Thyra/Vinnie).
But FM seems good for her. There's a lot of solos/small units in FM. Both dash and positive charge work on them. FM has higher defence on average. Also letting your idrians die to trigger hand of vengeance is legit, hence stacking it with feat movement is just doubling up on the same strategy. Also FM has some high Arm too, so the arm buff goes further. Ramming ARM23 initiates into the opponent is nice, because they are such a disposable unit.
Also she can have two walls in FM.
I guess the question remains: "can she do it better/easier than Harbie" and the answer is probably no.

I'm thinking of Dervishes with her. Side Step them with Positive Charge to dig in, and they're cheap enough that you can throw one or two away a round. Positive Charge with Severius0 can get damaged Vengers to POW 20 lances and she does a great job protecting the Vengers. I like how that looks on paper, I just have to throw it onto a table.

Purifiers. Def 13 base, Ashen Veil, and feat brings them to DEF 17 against a LOT of stuff. And positive charge helps fix their low P+S.

Double Judicator with one on Tristan. 2 arm 21 with a mobile wall is really good. On Discount there have been a few Cyrenia placings.

I really like that list but double Judicator always feels lacking. I threw in Sevy0 with a Reckoner to add accuracy, but it always feels like not enough bodies and too much concentrated power. A buffed gladiator could 1 round it and leave two more to counter the second Judy
