There is good synergy with the knockdown gun and runebearer casting mortality. Rage and cold stone gets the ice trolls to power 18, and feat allows you to get an alpha with them. Mirage on champs puts their threat to 11", 12" with cold stone.
My meta is mainly made up of primal terrors (some with BB and some not, a mix of Kallus and thagrosh) and tharn.
Just wanted to get your opinions on this list as I haven't seen anyone play anything like this (not to say no one hasn't.)
Grim 2 can certainly be good against tharn, ogrun and immortals, at least on paper. However, i think champions do not play a part in that plan. They do not play well against the other multi wound infantry, cause their defense is circumventee by those list. Gotun have incredibly high mat, chosen boost on their charge, tharn can boost and immortals can boost under zaal.
Instead you want to hit first and hit hard. Thrn you have two options. Raiders and long riders.
I would drop a light, cause it forces you to play whelps and costs you a solo. Then id get a maxed unit of raiders (possibly two!) And/or a unit or long riders.
Im a tharn player myself and i have played bloodpack (who shoot with rng 12 pow 14) against ogrun, and it is very favorable. Your raiders do the same thing on the feat turn, and they can move faster and hit more accurately to boot. Raiders seem very strong against the melee tharn/ogrun.
Then you have the long riders. With access to mirrage they out threat most things, and with mortality they hit hard enough do bother most things. Granted that champs hit harder, but the extra 3" of threat matters a LOT.
So in short, i think you are digging in the right place, but the list can be iterated on further to better suite your needs. List building with G2 is always hard though. His lists often look bad on Paper as he has significantly lower watbeast points than other casters. Best to evaluate on the table too before scrapping the whole thing.

This is where i would start. Bears are not super good in the match up, so one unit to protect the flanks or score/contest and so on. I am not super happy with the fact that i do not have anything good to trigger mark the target early on. Table time would have to show if this is a problem.
The great strength of tye list is that the raiders AD andnpotentially threat 19". That is to the opposing AD line. This means that if you go second, the enemy has to account for them turn 1. You probably wont feat turn 1, but they cant just run full speed ahead like nothing. Going second might be an advantage on live scenarios for this list...
Im not sure about the bone grinders. 12" mortality is good, but 5 points... Eilish might be a better choice. Puppet strings for the runebearer turns on spell slave.
