They look good. I'm quite fond of W&N brushes, and the 0 is my main brush (at least for human-sized figures), so you'll probably be happy with it.

Tonight I updated my stone scribe unit and Fennblades with snow on their bases to match my new theme. I snapped a quick pic right before bed and it was terribly under exposed so it is edited beyond belief to get things looking halfway realistic. So, terrible pic but I love how this unit has turned out.

I think they all look very good but why does one of the fennblades have a foam hat?

Very cool. They turned out very nice. I especially like the sigils on the bases. I remember when Trollock (I think) did the same to his and I thought that was a great idea.

I really loved that look as well. I’ll likely add them to my entire army some day, but we may be years from that. Lol I straight stole the look from Trollock as well. Loved it!

Here's the newest update. I really love the blue on the bases. Thanks for the idea Trollock! So, Im a bit late to the party, but awesome that you liked the technique. I myself stole the idea from a local player many many years ago

Thanks Trollock. I’ll likely add them to casters and magical solos next, followed by entire lists/entire army eventually. They really look great. Up next is my 2nd unit of bears. I’m liking the black armor and leather on this unit, but I’m looking for ideas to differentiate the handlers from one another. I am not willing to change the bear skin color on his back, so something else! Multiple differences would be best so feel free to share several. Sorry for white background too. It’s just my painting table so I snap a quick pick when I’m cleaning up. Thanks for checking them out!

Weapon swap. Maybe just a club instead of the axe head. Perhaps put something in his other hand? Throw a Whelp onto the model somewhere if you can find a place for one that looks natural (maybe hanging on to his back)?

Swap the axe head with a different style axe would be the first thing I would do.
If you are OK with green stuff you could sculpt a few extra pouches to his belt or add some trophy claws/tusks to his outfit somewhere. Perhaps order bits from PP's store - they've got bottles, traps and a ham from the Hunters Grim that would all be good additions to choose from...possibly other bits as well. I tend to like browsing the store and I often order bits like that just to have on hand for conversions.
I am also a fan of different tartan patterns to differentiate Troll units.
Great looking Trolls by the way!

I could maybe put some bear claw marks in it for fluff. Maybe this one...

You could use the ones from the bomber/blitzer/mauler kit.

Axer and Earthborn #2 finished up. Also finished up a quick Mulg paint job. I’m having to paint much faster with a strict all painted & based Champions event coming up next month. I still need to finish basing all three.

Nice, I like how you've stuck to using earth tones but you've still managed to keep all the different items and surfaces distinct - that's not easy.
