But again, the Old Witch is not the type of being to roll up her sleeves and work 9-to-5 in the airship factory making levitating stones for the military brass. She does seem to prefer her one-offs. Not to mention, she's spending more time with the Grymkin than Khador or the Circle these days.

She has never demonstrated wold-making abilities before. Pretty sure making wolds requires human sacrifice. Maybe she's just not in to that sort of thing? Or maybe she just doesn't need any, she has Scrapjack after all.

There is a nice little piece from a No Quarter a few years back of a Skorne warrior trying to understand why Paladin of the Order of the Wall is fighting to defend the weak when he is clearly a superior warrior and should be ruling them. The Skorne warrior just cannot grasp the concept. I need to read this. Any idea where it can be found at this point?

That actually sounds like a passage from Godless, the Skull Island Expeditions novel released in...2017?

Oh huh, I read Godless and I don't remember that, but I've been meaning to flick through the stuff on the Kindle store again.

rojackso I hadn't read the story yet, only the first part. Would you mind tagging the post for spoilers so others can be spared? Sorry, about that! I'll try to give a warning next time, my bad.

I have to say that most of PP's Skorne fiction has been good at showing their otherness. They're not just humans with more defined bone structure.

I had forgotten about that one! I haven’t read those in a long time...
