In BoH i like the tripple light BG for both madraks. Impqler plus two bouncers with madrak 1 and probably tripple bounder with madrak 2 (one of them can be upgraded to axer or impaler or ice troll i guess).
In SotN i want rök and axer. Primal and warpath and feat makes for one really nasty axer, and warpath plus rush makes for super fast rök!

I think it has game, but might have issues into armor and guns. I'd probably pair it with either Borka2 or Kolgrima.
Love the creativity with the unexpected caster/theme combo! Fortune is superb for both the WW and Scatter Gunners, and Mulg helps with ARM cracking. I checked if you could ditch the Pyre, FEs and lookout for a huge base, but not quite im afraid. That would have been pretty cool. very different for sure, but the GK is super fun with guardian beast
Thanks! Yeah. I've been in the list building doldrums for the past 6 months. Everything is looking identical in storms. I've been cycling between kolgrima and Madrak1. I think this can do well into some of the control casters that love to see huge bases. It also has some ranged angles on the battlefield that keep the enemy honest.
I do like the idea of guardian beast with the glacier king, but a critical from mulg is the next best thing, and he has about a 34% chance.
I would drop scuttergunners and gobber chief, and would go for min Raiders.And ya have one free slot free. I think that you have enough light troop clear with WW, NFE, and raiders would give ya more space on the table, and are independent piece with superior stats to scutters. Just a gut feeling Great list, would love to try, but locals sre so into the meta things that feels kinda poinless. But for funsies why not

Hard enought for Circle to not go through even on feat turn, dont mind the blasts of Judicators, hits ok, and Horgle Chain Attack effect is not considered to be attack so it goes through plenty of things. Tryed it with MK for superior sprey that Firetrucks with orders but found out that 10" thread range is to small, so gonna tray it with SK. Warders should help a lot into LotF and Bridget, PoM shooting and with PoW 14 in charge hits ok, and ya can always park them into zone with arm 23 no knockdawn to hold it.
Kevin I would try a GK instead. Then you can drop the tinker and max the stone, AND he is a very good fire starter target as he can light up several heavies. Late game you can still have him be ARM 23 and all that.
Thanks, although main problem with GK is that I do not own own him neither I'm going to in at least the foresee future Also I'm a big beliver in min stone, never in MK3 I took max, and almost never would found a use in it

I do not own more BE, although might have in near future, and it was really fun. Unfortunetly the dream of lighting the whole enemy army is just a dream the list performed really well. Also I'm the only competetive trollblood player in Poland, so the unknown factor is nice and welcome. I'm came with that list to counter last year bogeeman of my meta - Harbringer(at least till end of holidays) it it performed really well, also tharns/primal terrors werent so popular so there were a lot of infantry army, and that list just kills them. Was pared with Kolgdrimma BoH army for heavy lifting. Currently working on pGrim Kriel Company drop, simillar to above, with only few changes, but current heavt infantry meta with no knockdawn, multiwound, vengeance means that I can kinda kiss my list and look for sth else Still my current problem with trolls is that they have 2 theme forces that are really poorly written(KC and PoD) and 2 that want to play on a infatry swarms/multiwound infantry, and other armies are doing it better Currently have a pair list that i belive works against almost everything in my meta, but Morghul2/3 just walk up and gimme a finger Fortunelty almost no chance to see this 2 in any tournaments in country so lets hope for the best.

Played it only once had really good fun with it. I know that i can drop Brawler into champs unit and can get freebie, but i dont thing its neccesery, list hits hard enough. If i had, i would go for double min Raiders, and change Brawler into EBDT and drop chief, but currently I'm ok. Need more testing.

Love the list, dont think can play into nowadays meta. Played it with SoB before, with Bralyn out and min Raiders, cause they are the only thing expect Gargant in the theme force that can hit hard, but they suck as ever so droped
My lists typically have few key piecies that need protection. Even in case of my first Kolgrimma list, with double Longs and double Champs, I would always flank with Longs, and small stone usually tends to cover 2 champs units, especially that 2 out of 3 SR tarrein rules would give me a LoS blocker to go with my clouds. In cases of both Horgle and Grim list I usually think that I need to protect my 2 huge bases and caster, and use stone for UA rules. In case of our single wound infantry it doesnt matter if its arm 14 or 16. That Horgle double Longs list is the first time in this edidtion that I would consider going for max, cause thats the first list in long time I designed for armour/multiwounding stacking. Will see how it goes.
For some wierd reason unknown to none trollplayers I just love playing Calandra.
I feel she can pretty much play everything, every theme etc but what to do about her. StarCrossed as we all know is nice but realisticly its just approx. add +1.8 to def 12 models meaning its actually less that what Madrak1/Borka1/Jarl does. The main factor there is that it covers EVERYONE - always which is insanely good.
But Bullet Dodger and Befuddle is extremely nice too. BD on a heavy warbeasts and under starcross (doesnt have to be EBDT) is bordering unfair. Smoothing Song make her run loads of beasts making PoD possible as well.
I have been toying around with 2 ideas Kriel Comp with Double Bomber Double War Wagons and PoD with 5 Heavies + Axer
but would love to hear your take one her ...
Currently pairing her with Bearka - C-Dancock style with Lanyssa and full unit of Raiders.
Befuddling something into Valka's counter charge bubble, or into threat range of the bears seems like fun. Also there's plenty of def 13 to go around.
Unfortunately I think Madrak1 is just a better version of Calandra now. Tactician, Even Ground, +2 warbeast points, more survivability, blood boon...
I think there are few different issues here. Yes Madrak1 seem more straight forward hence also easier to play/practice against. Runebearer also have a different role with Calandra as 18 vs 16" bubble arent the important part past turn2. Then Moses become another befuddle freak. Where as is he a price target in Madrak1 armies.
Fate-blessed also factor in here where as our dear belowed mat/rat 5-6ish suddenly is effective
And Calandra in her abilities having 60% more fury to play with and soothing song can field a complete different battle group.
to all this come that idiotic time consuming calculation with StarCrossed - I know when I play I tend to have a near calculation of an attack in my head before doing it - and StarCross just messes so much with that (unless of course one just use an app to calculate for them - none the less it eats the clock)
But true I admit Madrak if going for straight up champ def screw would work better but thats why I try to think of different stuff that could work
