Regarding Strakhov 1, I ran this in week 1 of the CID and somehow pulled out a win:
The point costs went up to the point that this setup is not doable anymore, but the following lessons were learned:
1. A hard gunline is really not getting 2 good rounds of shooting in when you can deliver doomreavers this fast, or if they are getting in 2 rounds of shooting they are conceeding scenario.
2. Swarming doomreavers is legit. The support staff is now so good that swarming might mean 6 units and doomreaver lite is 4, unless you’re going double Outriders. There might be a decent Strakhov list with 40 doomreavers and a bunch of jacks...
3. The list was balls fun to play. I’m not sure that it’s as good as
Something like this with Strakhov might be good.
Khador Army - 75 / 75 points [Theme] Wolves of Winter
[Strakhov 1] Kommander Oleg Strakhov [+28] - Juggernaut OR Kodiak [13] - Juggernaut [13] - Victor [34] - Greylord Adjunct [0(4)] Doom Reaver Swordsmen [10] - Greylord Escort [3] Doom Reaver Swordsmen [10] Doom Reaver Swordsmen [10] Doom Reaver Swordsmen [10] Greylord Ternion [0(7)]
Victor and a Juggernaut / Kodiak get Superiority on Turn 1. I like 2 Juggernauts but having a Kodiak 14” upfield helps mitigate the problem that your doomreavers are already downtown. 4 units ensures saturation. I think you send 1-2 units before you feat to put down the hurt, tie up the enemy, and position for a great feat turn. You can double overrun Jacks with 3 on the table. The Ternion are there for Canker Frost and, really, cloud cover.

All that said, I think I’m more excited to play Wolves with a one of the casters that offers some gunline protection, since I think even mediocre protection from infantry hate allows you to play into infantryhate.
Why do I say this?
First, if your opponent brought infantryhate, then you don’t need to deliver a lot of doomreavers to do a a crap ton of damage. Second, doomreavers get up the board so fast that your opponent doesn’t get to abuse shooting for more than 1 really bad round. Third, SR2018 is terrain heavy. Apartion lets you abuse that. Forests, buildings and walls are your friend.
I like Vlad 2 since he both cranks up doomreavers as well as Outriders. Hand o Fate on Outriders is soooo good. You can fit 5 units of doomreavers and a full unit of outriders and still shoehorn in some support. He just answers a lot of questions, and until he pops feat asks a really tough one.
I also like Sorscha 1. Her toolkit, feat plus the adjunct, and swarms of doomreavers is really good. 29 jack points is also juicy.
I’ve played OW2 but not with the current point costs. I found she couldn’t get enough bodies on the table pre CID, but will try her again. Double stacking Canker Frost with Curse could be really good, and well...windstorm.
My LGS plays Champions about once every 3-4 months, so I might try Irusk 2. Tough no knockdown doomreavers is no joke. However, he wants a battle lust target so Kayazy Eliims are kinda obligatory, which I suppose isn’t a hardship.
If the Steelhead changes stick I’m wondering about Alexia 2 in theme. I have not tried Alexia 1 and own a fully painted unit with 20 grunts and 3 solos, so at some point I will try this tech as well.
In general, I think 2019 will be a year of Armored Korp (primary) or Jaws (with Sorscha 0), plus Wolves.

As far as Old witch goes and if everything from both the wolves and steelhead cid stays as is, I was dojoing the following list with my other local khador players: conflictchamber.com/#c3201b_-0Khz7pnmnj9wno8hnf89nf89nfnfngnnKhador Army - 75 / 75 points [Theme] Wolves of Winter !!! This army contains CID entries. [Old Witch 2] Zevanna Agha, the Fate Keeper [+27] - Destroyer [14] - Ruin [17] - Greylord Adjunct [0(4)] Alexia, Mistress of the Witchfire [7] Fenris [8] Koldun Lord [0(4)] Doom Reaver Swordsmen [10] - Greylord Escort [3] Doom Reaver Swordsmen [10] - Greylord Escort [3] Doom Reaver Swordsmen [10] Doom Reaver Swordsmen [10] Greylord Outriders (min) [10] Greylord Ternion [0(7)] The list is kind of light on solo but Alexia2 solves that and filling her on soul is not going to be hard with doom reavers on the table. I really like what OW2's kit brings for Alexia2, she defends her, and help her offensive output.

I wonder if swapping out the destroyer gives you slightly better scenario presence, just boundless charging a Reconstruct charged Devy 2 turns in a row towards the far zone. I think you’re fine on solos.

In other news, it will be 7 weeks since the end of the Cornucopia CID tomorrow. Odds on an update?

In other news, it will be 7 weeks since the end of the Cornucopia CID tomorrow. Odds on an update? I think you shouldn't consider the two weeks of chrismas vacation as buisness time here, so I wouldn't expect the cornucopia stuff to go live for an other couple of weeks. I just hope it drops before LVO and Captaincon (who are both on the same weekend).

Just wanted to throw my experience with OW2 and wolves.
Specifically for Jacks I have tried Ruin with her and am actually starting to think she may want a Spriggan more. Eyeless Sight is good in the list, but it is only a single model which means it is hard to leverage into a cloud wall. An eyeless sighted Spriggan however can now drop his flares ANYWHERE as he is no longer limited by the cloud wall. That lets your doomreavers get much more aggressive into an enemy. Alexia2 was not on my radar before, but she may be better in this then her unit for all the reasons mentioned above.

The koldun lord can allow you to double or tripple up on the guidance though, if he keeps loremaster from the cornucopia CID. I'm actually hesitant between running 2 heavies or simply going for the Victor with her, sure you have no model that benefits from reconstruct in the list, but an eyeless sight victor is alway good and OW can protect it a bit with her kit.

I want to do a Zerkova2 or Sorscha2 WoW with all the Greylords and some Doom Reavers to taste, so I can pair it with my magic-weaponless Kozlov AK>

Random question about guidence on the Adjunct.
Can you use Guidence on the Bombardier Officer and then CRA with the whole unit on mini feat turn for two magic damage pow 20s?

I've tried OW2 running Wolves and definitely don't want Ruin in there. He dispels Curse of Shadows, which is a pain. I'd definitely go for a spriggan.
Cheers, Dave

Anyone else excited for the Adjunct+Sorscha1 in WGK? It's nothing fancy, buuut... You previously could not take sylys. Sorscha 1 with adjunct threats 16" with freezing grips. Can FG, boost to hit and Wind rush back. Nothing fancy, but 2 more inches is a huge ramp.
Now, she also gets a free upkeep, which is only fog of war. Previously FoW has been a double edge sword, making it harder for her to land her own spells/shots. Now the adjunct can give her eyeless sight!
Couple that with a cheaper beast 09. You have a def 20 sorscha, with a shield guard that just stationaried some high value targets and is sitting a pretty 16" away.
I dont feel satisified with the list yet, but i was leaning toward 2 beater jacks and a destroyer. I dont want to lead with beast, he's too expensive, but a berserker is a nice trading piece. Withe adjunct I'd be trying to leverage her feat as late into the game as possible.

For those at LVO, is the Greylord Adjunct available? Did his rules change since the end of the CID?
