I'm surprised you AREN'T finding worth-while synergy in the faction. Not exactly what I was saying but definitely something we can delve into more. I more find enough synergy in theme that I don’t feel like going out of theme makes up for the other losses. What’s your favourite out of theme list then? I see a lot of potential for Rhyas but no other casters really jump out for me. Just to get the conversation going, here is one in theme list that I am really interested in trying out because I think it has loads of synergies: conflictchamber.com/#ca201b_-0taCkObvaRcocob9bkbljxhWLegion Army - 75 / 75 points [Theme] Oracles of Annihilation [Thagrosh 1] Thagrosh, Prophet of Everblight [+28] - Archangel [35] - Naga Nightlurker [8] - Typhon [20] Spell Martyr [1] Spell Martyr [1] The Forsaken [0(4)] Blighted Nyss Hex Hunters (max) [15] - Bayal, Hound of Everblight [0(6)] Ice Witches [7] Throne of Everblight [16] Pow 16 sprays from Typhon with a stealth, immune to fire jamming unit? I don't know how viable it is, but the only things holding me back from trying this grabby/slicy Rhyas list is being down on all the points and extra rules. conflictchamber.com/#ca201baHaKbwaRbbbba_b0a_b0fTfTLegion Army - 75 / 75 points [Rhyas 1] Rhyas, Sigil of Everblight [+30] - Nephilim Protector [10] - Proteus [19] - Typhon [20] Blighted Nyss Shepherd [1] Blighted Nyss Shepherd [1] Blighted Nyss Swordsmen (max) [15] - Blighted Nyss Swordsman Abbot & Champion [6] Blighted Nyss Swordsmen (max) [15] - Blighted Nyss Swordsman Abbot & Champion [6] Hellmouth [6] Hellmouth [6]

After a year of constant losses i took a 3 month pause from Legion and WarmaHordes. It was just so frustrating to see the other factions and their themes working almost like well oiled machines and Legion was so... meh
Now i am back and i am trying to get a fresh start. Since i can not afford a blighbringer/Archangel right now, i will have to make do without them.
Does anyone have suggestions for a PT list without a BB?
Really like Kallus2 in CoD, but applying fire pre-feat is a struggle and does not work that well for me up to now.
I would really like to play Ravens an Oracles more often, but all the lists i built do not feel that great.
There surely is potential, but not everybody ia a Chris Orr or JVM.
Right now i'll just say "hold on and hope for a better future for Legion"...

Sign me up! I certainly like that list a lot, it looks fun. Rhyas is the big one who really just can't play in theme (except MAYBE Primal Terrors, if you can find a way for her to live without the Succubus). Check out my tactica on her if you feel like it. I don't know of any other warlocks specifically that want to play out of theme, but in my mind there are certain models that are extremely useful that aren't available in every theme, and can arguably make up for the lack of theme benefits. I feel like there are a lot of unit combos in Legion too, such as Raptors and Ogrun working really well too. And, I'd say that Grotesques and Ogrun work well together as well, since Privateer Press gave us Grotesque unit #3 (Rotwings) for use in Primal Terrors. The beast synergies may not come up as much out of theme (unless you want to bring some characters along and not be restricted in CotD).

Do with it what you will. Playing Rhyas without a Succubus is a bet I would not take. I see you have a lot of jamming in your list, but transfers with her are always needed as you can't really count on her DEF 16 to work all the time (or DEF 18 in a cloud). Using her without a Seraph is another bet I wouldn't take. The +2 inches is invaluable with her, and will help tremendously with her assassination plan of both slingshotting a warbeast and sending her up the field. I would drop the second swordsman unit (plus you have no way to deliver them, as at most you'll have Occultation on one unit), and replace them with a Seraph and an Ice Witch unit. I'm also somewhat concerned by the lack of fury management in the list, but if you can manage the beasts without it then more power to you.

Back to the main topic, what's there to talk about?
Oracles was one of the first themes released in MK3 and for a long while was the only functioning legion theme. Nothing much has changed- thags2 and the landsharks got buffed but still function in the same way. We have nothing left to talk about on that front, except maybe the archangel.
Primal Terrors is good, but again not a lot of discussion needed. Blightbringer, whichever ogrun work best with your caster, hellmouths. We just don't have anything left to talk about.
The other themes don't work. From my point of view, I have to buy all new stuff to run my second list (primal terrors) and I'd rather just pick up another faction. What's really stupid is I ran Thags1 Army of Annihilation all through in MK2, it was fantastic. Now MK3 running 'ogrun' means almost none of those models.

I imagine Fyanna2 could run a pretty decent primal terrors list without a blight bringer. It would really depend on what you currently have, purchasing several units isn’t going to be any cheaper than a blight bringer.

Just a quick note to flag I came across some Legion from a bundle of stuff I got second hand at the end of last year, and I've been having an absolute blast playing Thags2 in Oracles. I'm definitely getting that buzz from playing a new faction, and that may have a while before it wears off, but I also can't help but feel he's my ideal kind of warlock.
I guess it also helps that I've been playing him into beast/jack-bricks and cygnar - didn't realise he loves those match-ups

Take this with a huge grain of salt because I have never played Fyanna before and I have very little primal terrors experience but: conflictchamber.com/?ca201b_-0-gNkKeJeJkBcocokPkPb6kLkGkJfTfTLegion Army - 75 / 75 points [Theme] Primal Terrors [Fyanna 2] Fyanna, Torment of Everblight [+28] - Golab [17] - Neraph [12] - Neraph [12] - Ammok the Truthbearer [4] Spell Martyr [1] Spell Martyr [1] Warmonger War Chief [0(5)] Warmonger War Chief [5] Blighted Ogrun Warmongers (max) [13] - Gorag Rotteneye [6] Blighted Rotwings (max) [12] Chosen of Everblight (max) [20] Hellmouth [0(6)] Hellmouth [0(6)] The other options I considered were one of the thagroshs with Typhon and Golab together since both beasts are great. I had trouble making points work out nicely for either of them and I didn’t figure out an Anamag list I was feeling okay about either...

Seraphs are nice to have with Fyanna, as she doesn't really have any dedicated speed buffs (except gallows, which is unpredictable). Other than that, its a pretty solid list. I love Fyanna, definitely my top 3.

Yeah the list seems better with a seraph: conflictchamber.com/?ca201b_-0-gNkKeJeJaOkBcob9b6kLkJfTfTLegion Army - 75 / 75 points [Theme] Primal Terrors [Fyanna 2] Fyanna, Torment of Everblight [+28] - Golab [17] - Neraph [12] - Neraph [12] - Seraph [14] - Ammok the Truthbearer [4] Spell Martyr [1] The Forsaken [4] Blighted Ogrun Warmongers (max) [13] - Gorag Rotteneye [6] Chosen of Everblight (max) [20] Hellmouth [0(6)] Hellmouth [0(6)] Chosen must hit like a freight train when they have Fury.

Has anyone played an 50pt Tournament recently? I'm attending one and can't decide what casters to pick there. I'm certain with This list, but I can't decide who to pick in a pair. There will be Cygnar, Cryx, Trolls, Grymkin, Retri, Khador and Skorne. I'm expecting RFP and thus i'm afraid to take Thags1. FB group suggest to pick Absy2 beastbrick, but it's low model count, so i think infantry will wreck me. Can somebody help with the solution??

My only concern in this is fury management. I know there's a Forsaken in there, but its still a concern. I'd personally swap out the Martyr for a Shepherd for the purposes of spot removal.
