For Firetruck sake... I even considered exactly that as a possibility of something that might get me to give up on this company.

I don't think there is any given reason to just give up, but, and I am speaking solely for myself, I'm not buying anything new over 20 bucks or so for a bit, I'm a little concerned now.

Good luck to Dallas!
Though just to add some perspective. There is a long line of great studio painters that have come and gone: Mike McVey, Ron Kruzie, Matt DiPietro, Meg Maples. All top notch talent that are now mostly doing "their own thing".
I mean, for people to genuinely consider PP as their "last job", the one they will retire from when they want to stop working, PP needs to grow by a couple orders of magnitude.

I dont think anyone is looking at anyone at PP to stay for the long haul. What is disconcerting when so many key roles are just coming up vacant. Something is up. Might be good, Might be GREAT, might be shit, i dont know and im not sure the people who do are going to say anything, but something is up, this is a lot of high profile turnover.

A lot of high profile turnover AND no announcements on who is replacing any of them to fill the voids of these important positions.

Well, it's not as bad as some of the news coming out of Activision's cash cow, Blizzard...

That's not at all true, Jeff Olsen who has been a part time design member for two years has stepped up to take on Pagani's spot, they've still got a couple very talented studio painters and will be actively recruiting for Dallas' position now that he's officially gone.

Who is even left at this point? Soles? Soles and Wilson. the two dogganm people we wanted to leave since the beginning of this horrible fiasco we now call mark III Check here for a sample of some of the people still working there; the ship is far from sunk. Matt Wilson and Jason Soles have been there since the beginning of this game we all know and love. Give them both some credit: they're not stupid, and they can do this. Soles has been getting a lot of flack for being publicly stubborn and/or being "biased", but guess what? Every designer has their pet projects and all of them are people that want to see their ideas become reality. The only thing that's really changed in this digital era is that it's all much more visible, but they're still the same people. I'm personally impressed by how Jason has matured (publicly) in the last couple of CID cycles. These are set backs, but they can right the ship. Most of the high profile exits mention that it was their own choice (don't give me that conspiracy shit where they were forced to). It's an unfortunate convergence of events, but it happens and it's not because PP doesn't make official announcements about it that they're not doing anything about it. LoS Jaden thanks for providing some perspective.

This. It is clear that there may be some big changes in the future for PP. But with the preview from PP of 2019, the company is in a fine state and not going anywhere. Lets wait and see what talent is brought in or promoted to fill the slots now vacant. the way people kick off all the time at the slightest little thing makes me think that some people actively want the game to fold. I'm very positive about 2019.

I am sorry to see Dallas leave as I am a big fan of his videos and communication style.
However as others said its not like PP (or GW for that matter) keeps their painters/ studio / designer staff forever... Mike Mcvey was the first painter i looked up when i started with GW back in the early 90s. Same with Meg Maples ( i love her work and blog). People move on as do companies.

I'm very positive about 2019. It's the opposite for me. I actively don't want them to fail. It's this time of year that i typically buy a bunch of models i want to add to my collection to be commission painted. It's just scary to think " oh hey i could be dropping another $1000 on a game that might not be around long"
