Well, with a few proxies, i was able to start playing. Game 1 my list was : Xerxis -Tibberon -Krea Supreme Guardian (SG) 3x Novitiate Hakaar 2x Guardian Abadien 3x Immortals with UA
His list was Ravyn, Hyperion, 2x mage hunters, 2x mage hunter infiltrators, maybe other stuff? Some solo's for sure Scenario was 2 big circles on flanks and rectangles in between.
Important note: First game with Skorne EVER.
T1. He runs up. Nothing special. Snipe on Hyperion, and Mage hunters one one side, mage hunters + infiltrators on the other, the other unit of mage hunters was ambushing. T1. No need to get super agressive....I get up defenders ward, and tac supremacy on my left units. Right gets nothing. Tibbers goes left. Krea goes to protect tibbers, SG and my caster.
T2. He brings in his ambushers and Ravyn moves up, feats and his army just cuts into me. No tough on melee attacks.....everything that can CRA does 2 mans, hyperion with a boosted shot and a shot from open fire lands like everything. It was not good. he killed 19 of 30 immortals.... T2. As horrible as that was, i'm not in aweful shape maninly due how agressive he was with the infiltrators. He relied on flank a little to much and it bunched his guys together. Also, and it was a bit of an "i gotcha" moment, neither of realized that the SG had a 3" reach. Also, his hyperion was not agressively placed. So vengence everywhere. And I hit very well. I move up, pop feat and pretty much catch everything. Tibbers goes to town...hits with every attack, overtakes like a mad man, so 7 kills and is in melee with what is left of some mage hunters. The AG wipes out everything that it is near it. What is left left of the immortals on the other side just mop up with the feat. I score my zone. 1-0
T3. For as brutal as his turn was, my was equally as brutal, and I am much better positioned. It is as simple as he fights back into me. I left the SG about 1/2" out of hyperion's charge range. With open fire, and shooting, Hypersion takes out about 5 immortals. The Mage Hunters engaging Tibbers does nothing. He gets some fair roles on the other side and at the end of the turn, i'm down to about 5 or 5 immortals left. Score goes 2-1. T3. Solos in place to take out objectives. I run the AG to contest his zone. If he want to take him out with Hyperion, he will be taking charges from tibbers and all my solos and maybe even my caster. Tibbers mops up like another 5 guys. My caster charges into the right and takes out a fair amount of mage hunters. I score my zone. We go 4-1.
T4. He really cant stop the win here. He is down some support pieces, a few mage hunters on each side. Ravyn and Hyperion can deal with either the guardian or tibbers/solos, but not both. I can clean up a given zone for the win. He has to go for it. I am only camping 1, but have a shield guard and am under the krea's aura. What can come into does and when it all said and done, i've take about 7. We actually stay at 4-1. T4. A noviate gives the AG+2 Str and I charge Hyperion. Leave it on 9. Tibbers clears a zone. My caster clears a zone and the krea gets its claws dirty and cleans out my zone. I score 3 taking me to 7-1.
Things that worked: We were both surprised by my speed. 4 + 2 for AG + 2 for caster ability made for a very surprising lurch. Ancestral Guardians....wow where they good. Xerxis....every spell every turn + abilites + got into the action. Very dynamic.
Things that did not work: Wow do immortals die. I though AR17 vs. some elves, easy breezy. Nope. The amount of guys made with Hyperion on the board made positioning a nightmare. Playing into theme force with no tough.. Abiden. need to figure him out.
good first game. felt like I played well.
Xerxis vs. Kolgrima up next.

Game2 I played the same list vs.
Kolgrima -mauler -ice troll -basher champs 2x bears stone fell caller raiders some other support.
Scenario was 2 big circles on flanks and rectangles in between
t1. He runs up. No upkeeps, throws up clouds to be safe. 1 unit of bears are ambushing. T1. I run up, very central, but guardian left leaning. My up keeps go up, defenders ward on the far right unit and tac supermacy on the middle unit.
t2. bears ambush to my left. He jams in some raiders, locking my supreme guardian in place a bit. He has some charges with other raiders and takes them. I maybe lose 2. Champs run into the left zone. I cant get to them. He gives + spd and bears + ambushing bears go after my left immortals. Alten shoot tibbers and i shield guard it to Abdien. kills him....He feats for virtually no effect and drops clouds in front of me. T2. I have some play, not as much as I would like. I can kill some raiders, and if I can get my Supreme Guardian unjammed, I can kill all the bears. I toy around with feating. I look at all my options and I can get the super lurch on the right unit of SPD8 and get into the champs. I feat, lurch tibber into position and charge into some raiders. Krea aura goes up. Pretty much everything goes incorporeal for the best charges. I take down all the raiders, clear my path to the bears, kill all them with the SG, not the keepers though, leave the ice troll on like 4 and kill the sorcerer, he toughs, 2 champs and wound the others. we go 1-1.
t3. alten shoots tibbers again. God roll takes out spirit and mind. He rages the basher and it charges the SG through a forest (did not see that coming), but my defensive strike knocks out his body. he does minimal damage to me. ice troll get healed, kill some stuff, champs kill some stuff. He scores his zone and contests mine. 1-2. t3. Tibbers still kills the basher with 2 aspects out. SG charges forward, i kill a keeper and threaten his zone and kolgrima. I get WAY over confident and charge in Xerxis to the other champs because I want the immortals to do stuff. I cant incorporeal my way out of trouble since the sorcer stayed alive and gave them magical weapons. I take out ice troll and chip on the objective.
t4. I am down 1 point on scenario, but SO far up on attrition. He has the stone guys left, 1 keeper, the mauler vs. a TON of my stuff. but I am in kill range if he can kill like 5 immortals and hit me with a hunters mark. Koligrima moves up and does her 3x sprays but doesnt take down what she needs, so she cant land the hunters mark which gives the mauler the range. We both make a TON of mistakes on that turn and just call it. I could have killed that sorcerer with an AG but didnt.
Things what worked for me: all of it, the list worked like a dream.
things i didnt like: Dealing with Alten. On t3, i should have brought back Abiden for another shield guard. I didnt...bad play on my part.
this was also not a match up I would ever see I think. his other list was madrak, which is what he would normally drop, but its game night and he wanted to see what the match up was like. My opinion, HEAVILY favored for Skorne, but again, Kolgrima is not an ideal drop into this.
Next game: Skarre 3 Slaughterfleet.

Nice, my only concern with X1 in immortals is the lack of Mat fixing especially MAT6 immortals, seems most of your work was done by the AG's and Hakaar and you didn't suffer with missing too many 7s. I love Lurch on X1 too, the non-linear threat extension on Tibbers is a real surprise. Shame its only on his Battlegroup.

Hakaar helps, makes them all MAT7 and the feat, but for the most part, the immortals seem to be a delivery system of the solos who scalpel out the hard stuff.

Game 3 vs. Skarre Slaughter Fleet Skarre3 Kraken 2x min blood gorgers 2x marauders slaughterborn witches celphax spays guys maybe some other support models
T1. He runs up, dash and deflection He's a little left learning. Same scenario as above T1. I run up, i also lean left with the SG. I get up tac supremecy on my far right unit and defenders ward on the far middle.
t2. He can get to a few of my guys, but he really wants to shoot. the marauders all have bombs, his caster has good guns the kraken of course can shoot. Problem is that his best target is the SG who is under the krea, has 2 shield guards, and in range of 2 noviates and the healing objective. He opts to shoot with the marauders on the right. i lose a few guys from 2 units. On the left, he opts to fire his caster and the kraken into the SG and then jam. I shield guard one of the shot and take a few damage from the others. t2. I we are close enough that this the feat turn. I charge up caster, feat, drop 2 guys and lurch tibbers. I give +2 to speed to a unit. That unit gets incorporeal and can just walk through guys. Mainly I kill General Slaughterborn, which is huge. With my feat, and vengence, I kill a ton of guys. on the right I am able to unjam the SG with Tibbers and overtake and he goes on to kill about 6 marauders. After its all said and done, I probably kill about 20 guys. We both score our zones.
t3. skarre takes more shots into the SG as does the kraken, She feats and draconic blessing goes on a unit of 6 marauders. They charge in and easily drop the SG, which I was really surprised with. The rest of his army piles into mine, but with the feat +2 ar and some great tough rolls, I dont take a whole lot of losses. We stay 1-1. T3. The kraken is 1" out of tibbers threat, but he has a witch near it. I move up caster, and lurch for 3, so I am camping 0. Tibbers charges in, overtakes into the SG and buys out attacks. I give 2 AG's str buffs from the noviates and they also charge in and buy out attacks. It is still up, so a unit of immortals (that I gave +2 damage to_ goes in and finishes it off. I am able to take down the objective and clear the right zone and my zone. I go up 4-1 and have a very commanding position.
t4. I am camping 0, but am under the krea's aura and have Abidan near. He has to try and kill me. Its his caster + maybe a spell from a witch and possibly a few marauder throws. I take about 6 and win on scenario.

I like your batreps. My own "Exalted Court" is on the way. Let´s say you didn´t have access to a Supreme Guardian, what would you play instead in your list?

As of tonight, I am 6 games into Skorne, so I am wholly unqualified to answer pretty much any real question. But if I didnt have the SG, the answer would be a bigger battle group and some pain givers.
It really irks me that in the spam environment of MK3 that somehow Immortals are FA3. FAU would not break the bank here. I feel like it was kinda an oversight. Or a cash grab on the SG.

Game 4 vs. Siege in Recon2 Siege -Hunter -Triumph 2x Blockhouse 2x Buster Finn Hitch Full Long Gunners with UA Full Commando's with UA and some scatter gunners
T1. He runs up, nothing fancy. Long gunners to my left, commandos to the right, everything else, pretty central. T1. Ever saw ghostbusters? "Get em Ray, that was your plan?" That was my plan. Cast defenders ward on a unit, cast the krea animus and charge up staying 15" away from block houses. I gave a unit +2 spd. I also feat. One unit of immortals are pretty much safe from shooting thanks to a forest. I pile around the boss which makes one unit of immortals armor 17+2+2+2. The other unit? Just run straight at long gunners. They have to choose between tibbers and them. Everything else runs up.
T2. Doh! I made a mistake and did not get a guy in b2b with tibbers. Siege moves up feats, and catches quite a bit. He ground pounds and kills a guy (which is perfect). Long gunners under feat roll a sweet 6,6 for damage on tibbers and then another hot shot. Tibbers falls to the big on the block house. Block house, 2x busters, and a hunter leave the SG on 5 boxes. Somewhere in here he killed Adiden too. T2. Well, losing tibbers suck, but I learned...Xerxis moves over and gives the move bonus to the units opposite the long gunners. They charge off at Spd +4 thanks to the AG. Get into the long gunners and I am able to hit 5 models. He toughs 3 of them....The AG is in murder range of the busters. I've only got a few boxes yet so I charge in. The rest of my army just runs again. I tuck behind that forest with another unit.
T3. I have most of his long gunners tied up. They fight immortals. It goes about as well as you'd expect. I think I lose one. I take a ton of fire from block houses. AR 19-21 is pretty good vs. cygnar pew pew especially when I cant be knocked down. The commandos have to walk though that forest and try and gun me down. I probably lose 4. It was not a productive turn for him. OOps, Triumph charges in and kills the SG. T3. vengence vengence everywhere. On that right side where I get the benefit of Hakaar, I probably kill about 8 of the commandos. I get vengence on two units of guys. I clear both zones, leave about 3 long gunners, kill Finn, kill all the commandos and the objective. I score 4.
T4. He has to go for it. Im on 2, under krea aura and have Adiden near by. 1 block house can shoot me, the other has Los blocked by the forest. It shoots me, Abiden takes 1 for the team. I get shot by a hunter with a boosted attack and seige ground pounds and force somethings me, but not in that order. AR 20 with 2 transfers is just fine. I win on scenario.
Things I learned:
Have to get better with that feat. Silly not to have a model in B2B with Tibbers. Not sure I would have lived, but its still the right play.
First game I cast the Krea's aniums with Xerxis. Why? Im a dumbass and it never occurred me. So, that opens up some better play for me.
I am starting to understand "threat saturation" AG's, tibbers, any unit, Hakaar, the SG. Any of it can make a difference and can probably kill a caster or at least bully them.
Next up, Rask in Will work For Food.

It wouldn't take much to add it in at this point, and aside from the Beast Handlers and a Minion, it's not like there are any other units one CAN take in Exalted, leaving the rest to Solos, Battlegroup, and Engines.

Well, the FA 3 is a rule much older than themeforces. And people really avoided to ply Immortals back then, so FA3 didn´t matter at all.
Regarding Tibbers dying: There is always Defenders Ward which you can cast on him. I plan on running a Brute too with Tibers and Xerxis1 just for the additional protection. A shield guarding Brute and Tibbers with Defenders Ward should secure that Tibbers will see turn 3 more often than not.

The #1 reason Tibbers dies is that I look at the board and think, he should be safe here. Then in a world of premeasurement, I just put him down in the exact threat range of something that can absolutley kill him.

Game 5 Rask will work for food Rask -Wrastler -Spitter -Horror Brun & Lug Dahlia & Snake Undermire -Wrastler Mist speaker Kwaak
Scenario is Mirage
T1. He runs up, pretty much everything in the middle. With will work for food, his list is super fast. T1. I also run up, but i've got two units right leaning. I have defenders ward and Tac on those two units. I make the typical brick, protecting the SG and my caster.
T2. He moves up, with random shots, Rask, Snake, dwarf, carves a perfect line from a wrastler to Tibber. Boundless charge and fury go on a wrastler. Undermire gives it rage...wait...+6 Str swing...It promptly eats tibbers on top of 2. Not good. He also feated and Kwaak throws down some double venom which drops a few guys. T2. Well, did not see that coming. But i'll live its his feat that his getting me.....So vengence on 2 units helps. Although nothing is in attack range. An AG charges his wrastler. I move up Xerxis, feat and get +2 spd on a unit. That unit goes incorporeal and moves up its 8" and I am able to get some chip damage on undermire's wrastler and kill Kwaak. The SG kills the Wrastler that killed Tibbles and I cover him with a press forward order from my left unit. I also get a couple of attacks on the snake that I hit with. The 3rd unit that is a little deeper right than I need them to be runs hard towards the center. I score 2.
T3. He cant get to the SG with the spitter or Brun/Lug, and he's leery of the AG since I gave him +2 Str and my feat is up. Undermire's wrastler can trample in, but has to the take free strikes and the defensive strike would surely cripple him. Good news! The horror has 4" reach and can avoid the defensive strike. So fury/rage on him. Good news for me, he leaves me on 5. He tries the chip damage from everything thing he has, but it doesnt do anything. The snake guns down some guys. Undermire's wrastler kills some guys. No scores T3. 3 units of vengence....pretty minimal damage though, more about positioning for the legendary "immortal assassinaton". Big old thresher from the SG drops Brun, which takes out Lug. I buy out attacks with souls and kill the horror. I did give him +2 str from an initiate. All I need to do is just destroy his objective. Xerxis moves up and gives +2 damage. 3 guys take it down on the charge, I pass turn and go up 5-0.
Its the perfect storm for my list. He is super fast which gets into me and I can kill solos that drops beasts. I am swimming in disposable solos for flags and he cant hold zones or contest them with disposable pieces. I just overwhelmed him too fast. Had he dropped that SG...don't think it would have changed it. I still could have won on scenario pretty easy.
Note to self...I am Rick, and Tibbers in Lori and my opponent is Shane for you walking dead fans.
next game was vs. Mortenebra and jack spam.

Well, the FA 3 is a rule much older than themeforces. And people really avoided to ply Immortals back then, so FA3 didn´t matter at all.
And yet we've seen many units go from FA:3 and FA:2 to FA:U since Themes were introduced. The Praetorian Swordsmen and Karax are two such units.

Can't quite tell by the way you word some of your bat reps but xerxis movement buff does not effect charges.Push to the limit only effects full advances which is your standard walking advance. It sounds like you are using it like desperate pace which effects all movement types but push to the limit only effects full advances and is more intended for shield wall units, or cats...
