Is anyone having success with the Shrine? Please share your lists.
I was thinking something like this:
War Room Army
Protectorate of Menoth - Durst Double Shrine
Theme: Exemplar Interdiction 3 / 3 Free Cards 75 / 75 Army
Anson Durst, Rock of the Faith - WJ: +28 - Indictor - PC: 14 (Battlegroup Points Used: 14) - Indictor - PC: 14 (Battlegroup Points Used: 14)
Shrine of the Lawgiver - PC: 14 Shrine of the Lawgiver - PC: 14
Vassal Mechanik - PC: 1 Exemplar Warder - PC: 0
Choir of Menoth - Leader & 3 Grunts: 4 Exemplar Cinerators - Leader & 4 Grunts: 13 - Exemplar Cinerator Officer - PC: 0 Exemplar Cinerators - Leader & 4 Grunts: 13 - Exemplar Cinerator Officer - PC: 0 Exemplar Errants - Leader & 9 Grunts: 16

I guess my question is why Durst? Decel - seems good on the Shrines and Cinerators. That, and I didn’t just want to reach for the Reclaimer. Hand of Fate swapping always works well.

What about Vindictus? Seems like a good delivery method. Might also let you work in bastions. DW helps against shooting, as does Penitence. The feat gives them room, and Shrines recur.
Maybe: Theme: Exemplar Interdiction 2 / 2 Free Cards 75 / 75 Army
Vice Scrutator Vindictus - WJ: +29 - Hierophant - PC: 3 - Reckoner - PC: 16 (Battlegroup Points Used: 16) - Reckoner - PC: 16 (Battlegroup Points Used: 13)
Shrine of the Lawgiver - PC: 14 Shrine of the Lawgiver - PC: 14
Exemplar Bastion Seneschal - PC: 0 Hand of Silence - PC: 7 Wrack - PC: 1 Wrack - PC: 1
Exemplar Bastions - Leader & 4 Grunts: 15 Exemplar Cinerators - Leader & 4 Grunts: 13 - Exemplar Cinerator Officer - PC: 0 Choir of Menoth - Leader & 3 Grunts: 4
I think with a limited soul build, HoS is important to maximizing soul collection and controlling distribution.

These are my two favourites. Especially the Harby version is quite nice. Def 15 Vs charges and defensive strike is sweet. What you're unable/unwilling to martyr comes back via the shrine. conflictchamber.com/#c2201b_-0Em1lVmel-lUm03t3B3B2_lXlXm2lQ___-0ElT1q1q3UmflUm02_lZlSlZlS2mbQlQProtectorate Army - 75 / 75 points [Theme] Exemplar Interdiction [Harbinger 1] The Harbinger of Menoth [+27] - Judicator [34] - Hierophant [0(3)] Exemplar Bastion Seneschal [0(5)] Exemplar Warder [0(5)] High Exemplar Gravus [8] Vassal Mechanik [1] Wrack [1] Wrack [1] Choir of Menoth (min) [4] Exemplar Bastions (max) [15] Exemplar Bastions (max) [15] Visgoth Juviah Rhoven & Honor Guard [9] Shrine of the Lawgiver [14] Protectorate Army - 75 / 75 points [Theme] Exemplar Interdiction [Cyrenia 1] High Exemplar Cyrenia [+28] - Dervish [7] - Dervish [7] - Sanctifier [14] Exemplar Errant Seneschal [3] Exemplar Warder [0(5)] High Exemplar Gravus [8] Choir of Menoth (min) [4] Exemplar Cinerators (max) [13] - Exemplar Cinerator Officer [0(5)] Exemplar Cinerators (max) [13] - Exemplar Cinerator Officer [0(5)] Exemplar Errants (max) [16] - Exemplar Errant Officer & Standard [4] Shrine of the Lawgiver [14]

So, how do you deploy two shrines and not mess up your side of the board? I struggle enough with 1 as is ...

paradox why not just run 2 units of Cinerators...bastions are just so bad... As far as 2 shrines...why would you ever buy 2? Lol

paradox why not just run 2 units of Cinerators...bastions are just so bad... As far as 2 shrines...why would you ever buy 2? Lol Vindy is pretty good at protecting them. The feat lets you position them or deliver. If you face a gunline, DW makes them 13/18 or Penitence punishes/shuts down low POW shooting. And Defensive Strike is for real on them. Plus mpre hitting power is good without damage buffs to hand out.

Yeah, Bastions are no longer terrible. They are good with casters who can ensure they stay alive, or with any recursion like the Shrines. If you have both, say, Harbinger and a Shrine they become a nightmare for your opponent.

If you have both, say, Harbinger and a Shrine they become a nightmare for your opponent. You can even fit 2 units of Bastions, a Bastion Seneshal, a Shrine, and a Vessel in the same list with Harby. Things only die when you want them to and get fully healed if you don't.

Thoughts on this version of double Shrine? I’m thinking recurring Cinerators, making their Vengeance attacks and then benefiting from the Feat would be an impressive number of attacks. KES solos have been selected for their attack volume and staying power on scenario. It’s a low model count but I think it has staying power (through durability and recursion) and a deceptive number of swings.

I think there is a problem with using the Shrine for recursion purposes as, partly due to recent CID and update decisions, there are other factions that can do recursion better or cheaper. For example, the Enigma Foundry costs only 4 points and can return up to three models a turn (similar to the Shrine). The Supreme Guardian could also return up to three models per turn and, while it costs 2 points more, offers much much more in terms of offensive options and mobility. In my opinion, the Shrine has been left overcosted relative to the power level of models with recursive ability in some other factions.

I played this last night and really enjoyed it. The constant threat of the Shrine’s gun made my opponent play cagey with certain support models and the recursion on one set of Cinerators (the non Inviolable Resolve ones) was effective. Do I think I won because of the Shrine? No, but I appreciated it’s support.
