What are peoples' experiences playing Kill Team? Geography and transporation issues are pushing Warmahordes to the back burner for me. But there's a store nearby running Kill Team, so I'm thinking about trying it out.
It sounds more tactical than full 40K, and I like the conversion-friendly scale. But the rules seem wierdly inconsistent (movement is IGOUGO then it's alternating activations in each phase) and there's some bloat (like pile in and consolidate movements) that I guess is from a mandate to be 40K-lite. I was hoping for something more like a stripped-down Necromunda.

Yeah, it really feels just like a lighter version of 40K. It plays super quick though, and has been pretty fun so far (although it can get pretty dicey sometimes).
I've played about six games so far (and gone 0-6, ugh). Haven't tried a campaign. Game feels super characterful and as you said, lots of room for conversions. Overall, been a very positive experience (aside from the losses)
