Hi all,
My meta is made up of a few core players, and numerous other players who are exceedingly busy (work, kids, etc). I have often thought of running a year long league. I proposed a format to Reddit, and am now on the second draft. It turns out to be similar to a concept i've seen floated around of "scrums".
Please let me know your thoughts. Would you be interested in this? What would make it good for you? What would make it bad for you?

Format
- 'X' rounds over 'M' months making up one season (probably one round per month over 6 months)
- Final 'Y' rounds in a tournament. The tournament will have no shark reduction mechanisms
Lists
- Second list optional, no D/C
- Lists can change every month
- Lists are submitted before the round is decided
- Lists are publicly available
Organizing games
- Players must play their game within 'W' weeks
- Failure to organize a game results in a draw score between the players
- If there is enough evidence to show that one player put in substantial more effort over another to organize the game, then the player who put effort in will get the win
- It is OK for you to pull out of a game, just be honest to yourself and others about your availability
Prizes
- Depending on numbers, 1st, 2nd and 3rd players will have their name on a trophy (at least 1st). The trophy will have a PP bust at the top of it.
- A prize will be given to the bottom player (somehow balancing against games played, i.e. you don't get a prize for missing a ton of games)
- The remaining prize money will be raffled amongst players, each game played gets an entry, including on the last day
Veteran skill reduction (i.e. Sharks)
- The leader of the league after 'Z' rounds cannot play the same casters as he/she have previously played in the league
- Top 'P' players must stay in their current faction, the remaining players may change to whatever faction they want or stay in their current faction
- Veterans are encouraged to self identify, and are encouraged tutor their less experienced opponents during their games
- Every win after the third round will incur you a 2 point reduction to your list. Does not apply to the final tournament.
