<snip> Crucible Guard - the entire faction! (seriously I don't know here. Never played against them) <snip> I think Bears are the best candidate for this in Trolls also, almost certainly. For me, CG's scary scary piece is for me rocketmen. DEF16 Immunity blast is a pain to handle when you can't scalpel out the officer.

My line of reasoning is mainly to look what would be taken in other factions if they hade the oportunity. For this I think the Fell caller, Runebearer and Stone+Scribe elder would be played. Perhaps the bears, but I think that they are not that OP.
But I generally think that trolls are quite well balanced in terms of the good stuff beeing rather equally good.
(going back to MK2 we had blatantly OP stuff: Janissa, Mulg, Burrowers. It doesn't become more easymode than applying mk2 burrowers)

I'd agree that there isn't a unit that is categorically amazing like Derp Turtle, Sentry Stones, Hellmouth, etc. There are excellent units/models to be sure in Trolls but nothing that consistently feels ridiculous, even when I was playing Circle or Minions.
However, having just moved to trolls a few months ago, I can say that FireEaters and Bears feel bad to play against unprepared. They just are a little better on the edges that frustrate you. For instance, Fire Eaters being boosted rat 6s when spray units/beasts (i.e. boostable) are rat 4 or 5. Is it OP? No. Does it confuse and frustrate you when things are randomly better than the baseline of the rest of the game? Yes.
Bears are similar. Ambushing, hard hitting unit? Okay. "Wait, they're speed 7 base?" "They have prowl? WTF!" I've heard that kind of thing and said it before I started to play with those models as well. Are they OP? from the side that uses them, No. When you first see them and they do stuff that is outside of normal expectations? Yes.
I also wonder how much the ridiculous stuff is made more ridiculous by the way it counts in lists. For instance: Hellmouths are amazing (and i continue to think poor design) but free Hellmouths are ludicrous. Derp Turtles are amazing (not poor design, just over tuned in my current opinion) but they are even more amazing when all of those points apply to free stuff in multiple themes. I wonder if War Wagons would be "OP" if they were in POD and counted towards points. I'd guess yes or be very close. That model is so good and gets very little play because of it's relegation to only one theme.

That's how sad Cygnar is currently Problem with being too early in the CiD cycle. I'd argue it's Cygnar Long Gunners, those are insane.
