On having tested steelhead cavalry to death:
"No, you haven't. In all seriousness the Dev team considers this a very powerful cavalry unit with an excellent damage output. We have never seriously considered removing Flank from them. If we did I don't think anyone would be happy with the results."
He seems to be open to finisher now, but how can there be playtest feedback if it wasn't in the update?

As much as I suck with using Flank, Flank > Finisher.
Mat 6 is a thing. Bad change overall in my opinion.

Guys, you know, they are the Cavalry unit who has boosted charge attack roll - stuck in MAT 6 or not has not so meaningful effects on them actually. Their whole highlight is 2-3 flank attacks per model. If you're only making 1 charge attack on them they kinda suck considering you have to have wasted space trying to trigger flank. Without point blank they would be horrible (i.e. where they were b4 the update).

With their POW, even with Flank they doesn't do much against ARM 19+ armors. I admit that boosted POW 12 would be a thing, though. Anyway I don't understand why they don't making the cavalry easier to use. Isn't it fine to simply give them 2" melee range or rapid strike instead? Point-Blank on now seems not so powerful either for me.
Also, MAT 6 easily hits DEF 10 to 12 targets, so I don't think that it would be an issue.

Heavy jacks are mat 6. If cavalry are also mat 6 then it's an issue. Def skew on medium bases (champs, tharn), or high defence heavies (Madrak1, anything with bullet dodger, star crossed, circle heavies) will be a huge problem.
