Terrible stats and our mate who plays Menoth has...objections to them. That seems a quick write off. So a Menoth player has a bad taste for deliveres. (Seems most the community of Menoth does, but i have my Lemming Train theory about that.) Bad stats is not so much an argument in a faction that can apply huge stat changes to models and change how they work. (One can argue this buffs are better applied to more expensive or elite units, but i see that as a choice to not try) Note: i use deliveres in my Mercanary Ashlynn list as a support unit (max for this reason) and they have actually proven to be decent for my needs of them. The warcaster... have not looked into her. But id like to hear a link to the podcast and see whats said.

All the Feoras are cool. Feora1 and 3 are awesome. Feora2 is still good, but is outclassed on multiple fronts. Deliverers are fine, and worthwhile in FM with several casters.

Double idrians and double deliverers has to be good somehow. Kreoss1 with a Judicator?

Deliverers with feora3 make for some surprising caster kills. It can be fairly difficult to protect against it.

Which Feora? Also, deliverers got revised last year and are totally fine. Which Feora? All three of them, of course But yea, give it a listen and tell us how short sighted we are (most of the Deliverer talk is in reference to a Polish WTC list rolling 2 units of them with Rez 2, a list I have had to reluctantly recognise is actually legitimate and whom my co-host has...differing opinons on). We go through the casters pretty in depth and how the CID has changed them or why we think they are where they are. Link is in the OP in case anyone hasn't realised. And before anyone accuses Jack (the guy we have on to talk about the Protectorate, because heaven knows I do not give a flying Firetruck about that faction) of being a try hard who never plays Jank, this is his list he's picked out for the Australian Super Series to pair with High Reclaimer. Protectorate Army - 75 / 75 points [Theme] Guardians of the Temple [Harbinger 1] The Harbinger of Menoth [+27] - Devout [9] - Judicator [34] Nicia, Tear of Vengeance [0(5)] Pyrrhus, Flameguard Hero [0(5)] Choir of Menoth (min) [4] Daughters of the Flame [10] Flame Bringers (max) [17] Flame Bringers (max) [17] Temple Flameguard (max) [11]

Deliverers are totally playable now. They might actually qualify for "Most Improved" unit in the faction. Sure, they're not terribly exciting. They still have victim stats. AOE deviation still eats up a lot of clock time. But at least they can actually hit stuff and do damage now outside of a silly doom-laser 10 man CRA.
They feel and act like a unit of inaccurate rocketeers now.

I'm giving it a listen. Hearing the serious down-playing of the Hand of Vengeance in Faithful Masses, or the statement that you don't want to take jacks in this theme, makes me seriously question the ability, or at the least the strong, obvious bias, of the guest speaker. I have not found it hard at all to play a healthy BG in FM, or get good mileage from the benefit. Then again, he hates idrians, so there's that self-limiting factor that listeners should take into account. It's definitely VERY FAR from a fair view of Faithful Masses, and I would encourage folks to listen to that section with a LARGE grain of salt.

RE Kreoss2, I'm amazed the term "boring" did not come up, because he's about the most boring Menite caster ever. He's posterboy for boring. And given how much that word was thrown about on Amon, it's pretty telling that a lot of bias is at play here to NOT use it to describe him. Further, the groupthink commentary in just 30 minutes in to a 2 hour podcast is strong. There are definitely some playable options with Kreoss2 in CM. There's very little of real use so far into this podcast that you can't find in literally any faction echo chamber. Other than weird personal biases.
