I just did another project looking at how the Hammer Strike theme force is limited and needs a CID. I know we have a long while to wait, but we should work on ideas for the CID while we wait. We can then campaign for these ideas in the official forums. Here are my starting ideas: 1. The number one priority should be improving the Highshields with a Highshields-oriented solo and unit and CA improvements. 2. The number two problem is that the theme force is too limited. We need new units, like the Slaughter Fleet got . 3. In a similar vein, we require some non-Rhulic units, probably the Morrowans. Having the Morrowans join the theme combines too underutilizied sub-factions into one thme. So we get Precursor Knights and a second, ranged Morrowan unit. 4. We need more Rhulic jacks. 5. We need more solos. 6. We need a new Rhulic warcaster, based on my character, Moar Barmu, a heavily armored, slow defensive warcaster 7. We need to remain a defensive oriented sub-faction, but we need more options.

Aren’t the goals for cid always “we need more better stuff”?
At least from some people...

Don't worry, Rhulic stuff will get the GW-power-creep treatment in a couple years. In the mean time, we just need to hope that the Steelhead Artillery are going to be bonkers enough to compete with the likes of Iona, Primal Terrors, etc.

Ossrum's feat should probably change to an aura, it's kinda silly that it's a pulse

Last time I played against Ossrum he feated on his army then walked 7" backwards, his Siege Crawlers and Forge Guard then rushed up the board, way out of control, but still getting the +3 arm. It seems a bit over the top that his army can get the extra arm without Ossrum himself moving forward to apply it to them, I can't think of any other arm buff feat that works like that. Leave the spd and pathfinder as a pulse, and change the arm to an aura

honestly... Ossrum is fine the way he is... it's the factions other stuff that needs a buff. Onto the OP 1. Sure, the highshields need a rework, a new solo for them would help with your other point, and a good UA would be awesome. Not sure, but maybe even a WA would be interesting. Though how to do all this without stepping on the other subfactions toes... you got me! 2. If you mean NEW models, then sure. Though again how to do so without flooding mercs with just dwarf options is... tricky at best. 3. If you want Rhulic with non-Rhulic models... it's called Irregulars. Morrowans don't really have anything to do with Rhul sooooo... it wouldn't make sense fluff wise or rule wise either way you look at it. So probably not happening. 4. Personally we got everything we need really in Dwarf Jacks. I mean, they aren't known for Arc nodes, and other than that what do we really need? Melee? bring a driller? Ranged, you got your options! And they're already so cheap I struggle to see what more you could really add / need to add. Heck we even have our own Colossal (which could use a little tinkering itself). 5. This... I'm not sure we NEED but it would help list diversity, and make you question a little bit more about the options you took. Another mechanic other than Thor would be appreciated though! 6. Personally if they gave back Explosivo back to Durgen we'd pretty much have everything we needed in dwarves. They lack magic weapons and giving the ability to give magic weapons back to Durgen would at least give him some role in the theme. As far as a NEW caster goes, I'd imagine if anything we'd get Epic Gorten, and who knows what they'd do with him :/ 7. I think as a FACTION mercs has TONS of options, and I think that's the point. I don't really think EVERY sub faction needs legitimate pairings in it's own sub faction. I do think it would be better to have a host of casters that are good accross all the subfactions, so that we're encouraged to buy more models, and field more different types of armies. I highly doubt seeing anything more for dwarves but slow and steady grind fest kinda dudes... it's what they bring to the over all faction. If you wanted say, fast and speedy, go Lealese pairing. If you want more dude spammy go Ceph or Pirates or Steelheads.
TLDR: Points 1,2,5,6 have some merit, the others... not so much.
