So, its going to be a while before our next CID rolls around. I don’t think they’ve said WHAT or WHEN it will be. That said, what kind of CID do you think is likely to happen next for Legion? A Children of the Dragon CID? A Ravens of war CID? Or maybe even an Oracles of Annihilation CID?

A Legion-PT CiD would be awesome...

They seem to be doing it on themes, so I'm hoping for Children Of The Dragon, but Ravens of War seems more likely.

Though only reasonable addition I can see would be a new heavy option since the infantry selection if pretty well developed. Then again, the number of actual new releases have been relatively low, so it could be possible. On the other hand, besides the elusive heavy-nephilim what design space is there for Children? I'd love to see a Nephilim Una2 and maybe a CA for the vessel that lets it spit out incubi or something.

As many models as CotD has, I think its more likely just do see a bajillion model re-works.

My thinking is that Ravens Of War is a smaller theme, so there's more that can be added to it and it's also smaller to re-examine as a whole. Also, I want a rework of the Blightblades.

I would personally want a Ret-style theme CID. Look at all of our (probably non-PT) themes and bring them up to snuff. To be frank, I want our existing stuff fixed before they start trying to convince me to buy new stuff a la PT.

I'm hoping for a light nephilim rework, maybe a character light nephilim, ala mini molik or one with double ballista, or a jr warlock nephilim who can take heavy beasts. CoTD tweaking and maybe finally a non-character heavy nephilim. It could even be a multi-kit so we could get 3 instead of just 1.
Or the jr warlock could only take other nephilim but has a field marshal giving them flank for other nephilim.

To be frank, I want our existing stuff fixed before they start trying to convince me to buy new stuff a la PT. This is the approach I wish they'd take for every CID, at least in the short term. Unfortunately, they are caught in a gaming version of publish-or-perish. Overhauling old models will lead to some sales, but not as many as generating new models. They have artists, sculptors, writers, and more staff on the payroll that don't get to universally work on overhauled models. Sure, you can do a resculpt for a low-selling model, but then you've basically created dead inventory for the old one. Best fix in my eyes is try to hire more people to work CIDs. Make them more frequent, or broader in scope. That of course can be expensive, although I would've killed for that internship had it existed.

I'd like to see in CID:
Nephilim Heavy Strider Scouts (gain back CRA)
Ravens of War gain use of non character heavies.
A unit of shepherds and/or a soothing song Warlock with more than a 5 Fury.
Bathane reworked.

Just update Children of the Dragon to give points based on infantry so Legion actually becomes the Nyss faction again. It would really open up the faction (and frankly sell a bunch of models, since otherwise many of those units will never see play/wallets)

I want them to rework the first three themes so they become functional, filled with synergies, effective and fluffy. Atm they are effective enough I guess, but none of em are what drew me to the faction. I also want them to give all character beasts a home in themes.
A non char neph heavy would be cool as well, but the above I think a rework is much more important then adding new new stuff that devalues what we allready have even more.

-Lesser theme with some new species of lessers - UA for the spawn vessel, with minifeat (one light beast once per game, for example, or antimagic bubble) - rebalance of legionnairs (give back mage static to standart + make them cheaper) - really good character beast for Vayl - rebalance of scather crew - UA for grotesques

Agreed, but what would be good changes to the themes? The obvious one would be counting Nyss points for Children, but what else? I guess Oracles could lose apparition for something to better help beasts, but unlocking beasts in Ravens would be powerful but detract from the flavor of theme.
