So, will the Skorne CID be an even greater shitstorm than the Legion one?

I really doubt it without some complete overhaul of beasts AND the theme. They can certainly be brought up competitively with a good CID change but it's really just too restrictive a theme (IMO)for them to flat bust it without some real concentrated effort to do so on their part. Now if they go nuts on beasts, that's a whole different conversation.

I mean lots of loud people making lots of uninformed remarks and being generally less than productive.

Shitstorms in CID get created, in my experience, when PP decides to put their foot down on something which the community feels important or if they seem to not be listening to the community.
The Root of a lot of Legion CID ugliness was from their refusal to have Hellmouths in the legacy changes of the list, as far as I could see. It caused a lot of other changes to exist under the umbrella of "You can't have X because Y makes it overpowered".

I don't think your reasoning is complete, but it's not wrong either. The turtle will be the Hellmouth of this CID.

Since they just got done breaking the Supreme Guardian, I don't see them budging on the Animantarax either. I said that if nothing else about the SG could be changed then they really should increase its point cost to reflect its power level, but nope... gotta sell the new toys. :P

Frankly, ArmCorp is just one Behemoth away from being the perfect Theme Army IMO

I do think it would be a nice touch if every theme picked one. Dozer & Smig for Kriel Company would make sense, and for Armored Korps? I guess it would be either Behemoth or Beast 09? Unless they think Khador needs another character warjack. :P

They're going to use Vlad and Sorscha in that theme anyways, so they basically have Beast and Drago, that seems like enough. edit: Why can I not get any of my there, their, they're-s correct today!! ARGH!

Ewww Drago. Now if there is one model in Khador that really needs a CiD it's that poor butt piece of work.
Anyway I really liked the AC CiD, no sillies and everyone left kind of happy. As a general rule of thumb one model creeps through CiD that should raise eyebrows. Anamag is up there, but that's more to do with the fact that it's a boiling pot and she just stirs it right up.
Oh, and why the heck did Harby get a CMD buff? She wasn't even bad, she was probably the best Menite caster anyway.

I still think they should finally make Kozlov's character Spriggan with a 1 focus leap or Andrei's character Devestator with countercharge and retaliatory strike.

The AC CID had all the problems other CID's had.
Certain models were regarded as "not good enough" and so when PP buffed them there was only a short window to test them. Namely, the Siege and Assault Chariots who are quite abusable with SPD7 Advance Move and incredible output and good resilience for their points cost.
Strike and Siege Tankers, as well as the Man o War Kovnik, highlight the cracks in the free solo system. Not necessarily broken, but models as impactful as those really should have a points cost.

The original Kriel Company CiD didn't go so well. And Cygnar's GDs, being so early in the process, suffered from not having enough legacy models looked at (also the meta was too uncertain at that time to know much). Christmas CiD was one of the best ways to touch up a lot of legacy models across factions, but it looks like we may not even get one this year. I would be happy if they broke it off into two different CiDs.
Also agree that steelheads do not need a whole theme unless they get a new fullsized unit and a new caster.
