Like the title says. Quick and easy, first things first. They need to come down in price. Personally, I'd like to see the Hydra be a "budget" Garg at 33-34 pts and the Mammoth get upgraded abilities to be worth 38 pts.
So first, the Hydra. Lose 1 armour (to 18) and gain Rapid Healing. Down to 33 pts. I think this is fair and great. Very survivable against sub-mainline heavy damage. Cheap enough that half it's job can be murdering infantry (while eating a heavy).
The Mammoth meanwhile comes in with more needs. I think first, it needs a better animus. Something that supports it's army and itself. I don't know what that animus would be but not counterblast. Second, just give the damn thing counterblast. I feel like it's gun also needs a boost. So a *attack action that makes a 5" AoE PS18 with high explosive 12. Representing firing all the cannons at once. Give the shot Siege Weapon too, so it's fluffy and awesome. Pending animus, is this enough for him?

I think the Rapid Healing change to the Hydra would be thematically fitting, and would give it a defining role and question. Having the model readjusted around that would be very welcome.
The Mammoth certainly needs work. I personally would prefer more boxes, and the return of Diminish as an animus. More resiliency would make removing it a massive investment, and worthy of the cost. Between Agonizer and Diminish, that's a generic 24 ARM in melee. Warlocks of course can crank it even higher.
Both changes ask good, Skorny questions. Can your opponent chew through a very resilient gargantuan in one round, each accomplished by different means?

I like Rapid Healing on Lady Many Heads, but someone will have to do the math on that one. Seems like it could get very unreasonably hard to kill, what with Gargantuans being immune to Grievous Wounds...
On the other hand, I love the idea of Diminish on the Mammoth. I can't remember how it was worded, but you'd have to make it so that it didn't stack across multiples instances (mammoth, caster, cyclops shaman). But it seems fitting that a giant, armored, almost primordial beast would have a diminishing affect on its opponents.

Don't remember if there was more to it. It's a good option.

Yup. It was -2 STR within 2".
As far as being immune to Grevious Wounds, if the Hydra's ARM is set low enough (17-18), the healing shouldn't be excessive. Like Trollbloods, it would have to be tuned around Paralytic Aura and Agonizer, but that package isn't cheap.

A Garg being only slightly more survivable seems fine. It's still shut down by a bunch of tech not named Greivous Wounds.
