Trying to figure out how Bulldoze works for my Devastator, help...
Do I move up to a unit b2b, then move 2" pushing it as I go? Or can I move b2b with it, declare a bulldoze, push it 2", then turn and walk another way?
When I push a unit out of my melee, do I get a free strike? Why or why not?
When I leave an opponents melee, does he get a free strike? Why or why not?

1. Declare movement under Bulldoze 2. Move until you come B2B with a model (any model) 3. Said model in B2B with the Devastator is pushed directly away (on a centre to centre line) from the Devastator 2" or until it contacts another model itself or an obstruction. 4. Repeat steps 2 & 3 until the Devastator's movement is complete.
This is why we had the 'Binky Brigade' back in Mk2 days (I think some players are trying to revive it!). With the exception of charges/slams, you can declare your movement in any way you choose (half an inch in this direction, half an inch in that direction etc. etc., pushing models about as you go, it's quite nifty for scenario bullying, no-push effects notwithstanding). Please note that the wording on the rule is 'can', so the push is optional if you don't want to shove certain models out of the way.
Re: melee... no free strikes because the movement is as a result of a push, not an advance. You can only free-strike (or be free-struck) as a result of movement from a voluntary out of an enemy model's melee range & LoS (thus pushes (e.g. Bulldoze), placements (e.g. Slipstream) and crowding (e.g. two small-based models moving to block LoS to a third small base) out do not illicit free strikes... in either direction). This is, of course, unless otherwise stated.

nice. So if I feat and have 8 movement. I could doze, move 2, doze, move 2, doze, move 2, doze, move 2, doze... and move a guy a total of 10 inches in a straight line?

No such luck, I'm sorry to say...
Read the Bulldoze rule and you'll find you can only shove an enemy model once per activation...

True, but this still means you can bulldoze an individual model only once. You can bulldoze different models in the same activation though, like: move - bulldoze A - move bulldoze B - etc
Also you can bulldoze a model even if you're b2b with them at the start of your movement.

Gotcha this makes sense. I can chain bulldoze a path...
Guessing running prevents me from bulldozing? So no clearing 8" paths?

Gotcha this makes sense. I can chain bulldoze a path... Clarifier - you can chain bulldoze a model with several models of your own, provided they have the Bulldoze rule, of course. Yes you can. Running is a form of movement and since Bulldoze isn't confined to any specific type of movement (provided it is a movement rather than a push or placement), you can run (like a clam under Vlad1 feat) a surprising distance and Bulldoze several models while your at it.
