Judged my first team event at a store I'd never been to before...
Slow start, really late lunch, knees ached within a couple hours, missed the last bus home and got back totally knackered.
Worth it though (even accidentally nicking someone else's coffee!), was a good day, my local team won the day (albeit on games won, but hey, another trophy is another trophy), I got to meet a fair few more local players and dig their cool painted/converted minis (like a very soft white painted Blackclad list, a Wrack where the martyr is swinging above the Menofix, ready to be taken off when the focus is pulled, Reznik's flaming sword etc etc) and ogle at the stock (bought Gaspy1 and a Slayer... woo...!). The spicy meat-platter hot pot and unlimited ice-cream (salted caramel for the win) for dinner was delish, too!
Along with the couple games I've had lately, I'm glad to say I'm in a much better place now, and with the local Masters event in December, depending on how things go, it'll be a win-win situation whether I play or judge.
Scourge of the Broken List two elements from completion...!
