Hello Cygnarians, I want to start off by saying I am a loyal Khadorian but through the great mystery of Privateerpress I have received the Cygnar jack loadout mystery box.
So my questions for you fine people (who are for some reason no longer dirty swans but are actually beautiful swans). Is I want to build a fun pairing with a fairly jack heavy Kraye list, what other models do I need, and how are minutemen with Kraye?
As for my other list I would love to have lots of fun with this fancy new tech called an arc node. Which is Cygnar's best caster to make use of it and how would I pair it the Kraye list I want to run.
I would like to keep the purchases ro a minimum as this will just be my alternative army.
Thanks so much

Kraye likes a Squire and Arlan Strangewayes for the much needed extra focus. A journeyman warcaster is usually helpful for slapping Arcane Shield on something valuable. As for minutemen, they're arguably amazeballs with Kraye - I generally take two. Being able to move, jump and then reposition means you can put them in all sorts of weird places quite easily (and extended control makes that even easier).
As for fancy arc node tech, it depends on what you want to do and which arc node you're using. The Hurricane works pretty well with Haley1, Haley2, Stryker1 and probably even Stryker2 (for a positive charge target, usually).

As for the arc noding I was thinking something like debuff or offensive spells to arc at my enemies Cygnar doesn't really have too many debuffs. Haley2 and Nemo3 can throw out a few offensive spells reliably through arc nodes. The Nemos are all pretty squishy, so will often play back and prefer to arc their spells as a result - chain lightning or force hammer from a point of your choosing can be pretty brutal. Haley3 (and 2) is often seen with Thorn, but he's only intermittently used as an arc node since Haley Past can play forward fairly safely and cast both of her spells (Thorn just becomes really irritating to deal with between DEF15, set defence and dodge). Besides the Haleys and Nemos, Cygnar casters are pretty focus-strapped. Some of them don't mind an arc node, but only end up using it sparingly (Stryker1 might throw out a cheeky Earthquake at the right moment, for example). The last time I used arc nodes was when I took two Lancers with Stryker2 as easy ways to apply Positive Charge to Storm Lances.

I would say, get a pair of Heavy kits, Centurion/Avenger/Hammersmith, you should magnetice both to have access to both 2 centurions and 2 hammersmith.
As for Lights, 2 minutemen and 2 chargers are kind of "the core" of Cygnar light warjacks. You can also get 2 hunters but with kraye I would stick to attack ammount because he's short on focus and number of attacks always.

Hello new Swan, what was in your crate? It was the mk3 battle box, stormwall/Hurricane kit, a Lancer, Stormclad/Reliant box and a Defender/Cyclone/Ironclad?? Box Giving you a Lancer as part of that deal is the weakest bit of the whole offer (across all factions) unfortunately as it means you're getting two total (since there is also one in the mk3 battle box) and honestly, that's 2 more than most people ever use as typically arc nodes don't see high use outside of Haley who will always choose her character 'jack of Thorn.
The next best use of Lancer (in my opinion) is to run one with Stryker 2 but that also seems counter-intuitive to what you've got in the bundle because he plays troop heavy rather than warjack heavy.
Stryker1 possibly makes decent use of a Lancer because his signature spell of Earthquake works well through an arc node. He's pretty vanilla but probably one of the better lists you can make with the mystery box contents actually because the combination of his feat and arcane shield on a Stormwall is pretty obnoxious so might be one of the best ways you can maximise the SW. Unfortunately it's probably not that different from in playstyle to Khador though.
