So, I don’t need yet another Reaper from the starter box, so I’m going to order an arm (and head?) from the PP parts store and turn it into a Slayer (as I slowly build my Slayer collection). As for the Malice/Reaper/Corruptor kit, I’m not sure what to do. I don’t have a Corruptor, but not sure what list I’d use one in right now either. Would it be possible to get Slayer parts to fit that new kit? Anyone know? I’d magnetize the whole thing then.

Now to decide who to run the banes with. Anyone have any advice as to who would make for a good pairing? At a glance I'm intrigued by Terminus, assuming I can manage to swap out his muppet face. Though I'm not sure that Terminus wants the bane warriors, so maybe one of the Goreshades or Aiakos? I run Terminus with triple min Bane Warriors with CA and double min Knights. Your mileage may vary about unit sizes, but my point is that Warriors are still good with him. With the banner they can be outside of 10" from him and still have Tough and Rise (Tactics!) + the mini-feat are great attrition tools. Goreshade 2 likes Dark Host in General and Goreshade 3 likes the cavalry for high value resurrections. I don't really see a synergy with Aiakos.

On topic, I received my mystery box...and it was Scyrah, probably the one choice I had absolutely no use for. Its a good thing I like the look of the Hyperion I guess. We can use it to proxy a Convergence colossal or something.

I just received my mystery box and was wondering if buying Mortenabra 2 would make a decent caster with what is included. I was thinking of something like this: conflictchamber.com/#c4201b_-0UhBc3331f1f1t1v0t9ukjkyCryx Army - 74 / 75 points [Theme] Black Industries [Mortenebra 2] Mortenebra, Numen of Necrogenesis [+27] - Kraken [36] - Malice [15] - Nightwretch [0(7)] - Nightwretch [0(7)] - Reaper [13] - Slayer [10] - The Withershadow Combine [9] Ragman [4] Black Ogrun Ironmongers [6] The Devil's Shadow Mutineers [8] It would require me buying Morty, the combine and the ironmongers (I already play Mercs). Would this be a viable list and would these be good additional units to have in general?

leotherat The list wouldn't be a high flyer, since Mortenebra isn't exactly our best caster, but it should be ok. Since you already have Mercs, I think Cephalyx Overlords would be better than the DSM.

I'm not attached to Mortenbra so I would certainly consider a different caster. As to Cephalyx it's kind of a chicken and egg sort of thing. Since I didn't have Cryx I never bought Cephalyx models and I don't have Cephalyx since I didn't have any Cryx models.

Mortenebra 2 brings a lot I think to a list like that. She brings an armor debuff to help things hit harder, if she wants to get close, her feat gives flanking to the warjacks which is easy to trigger with the 4" reach of the colossal, or with the drags in your list. Failsafe is a great armor buff allowing you to ignore lost systems (like arms!), though she really likes to have deathjack in my opinion. Locomotion with the deathjack is really good! Though if you want, you have a cool janky drag list there with the reaper and malice and the out of activation movement from locomotion can really open up some drag lanes, then feat for optimum carnage on key drag targets.
