What are people using to combat or beat lists that out armour and box you?
So at the moment I am finding Primal Terrors, Ossrum, Grymkin DM to a degree and no doubt Armoured Core when it comes along tough to deal with.
I'm using Kolgrima and Borka2 as a pair at the moment.

B. Ill be play Testing a Ragnor 1 "the power of dhunia" list into a standard irregulars ossrum 1 list later today. My list is... Ragnor 1 -Trollkin Ruinbearer *Troll Axer *Dire Troll Mauler *Dire Troll Brawler *Dire Troll Brawler *Dire Troll Bomber *Dire Troll Bomber Min Stone Scribes with Elder Troll Whelps Troll Whelps The list helps to counter high armor and boxes by handing out many diffrent str buffs ranging from a +1 to a +6 totals and every number in between (literally). With rush the liat averages a charge threat of 11 inches. Front line models Ragnor 1, Brawlers, and Bombers can advance into enemy guns and sit comfortably at dig i. Def 16 (beasts) 18 (ragnor) vs guns at arm 20 (beasts) 18 (ragnor) with immunity to continous effects, blast damage. And minus a die on enemy attack damage rolls in feat turn. The mauler axer and other models are reserve models as second wave options and allow zone contesting. Whelps contest when spawned, control free flags, and help fury

Bomma if bricks are giving you a hard time Madrack2 is an excellent brick breaker. Run him in Storm or band of heroes with double long riders and you can probably wreck any brick you face. Long riders should beat Chosen in that fight every time, out threatening them in Storm and having tough ignored in BoH. Pow 14 WM mounts and up to Pow 16 WM hammers will just wreck the chosen. Similar with any of those other bricks. Ossrum will be problematic because guns suck, but even on Feat Turn your Pow 15/16 WM long riders will literally be eating his jacks for breakfast

Champs. 2 Pow 14 WM attacks per Champ in SotN is AFAIK the hardest hitting unit in the game.

Champs. 2 Pow 14 WM attacks per Champ in SotN is AFAIK the hardest hitting unit in the game. Is this because you can space the Champs around your target more reliably then the longriders? In pure numbers they would be less strong then blood furied long riders, right? But you might not be able to land all impact attacks without killing your other Tuffalos. Or are you just thinking about skaldi? It's probably not very important, but I am just interested

Tuffaloes are more accurate while campions are more potential damage. But note the writer asked the question "how do you play trolls into armies who can out tank and box spam over trolls?"

Tuffalows hit plenty hard in storm of the North, under madrack 2 they are basically mounted champions Not really as champs in the same theme hit harder and are more likely to triger beserk and overtake than tuffaloes. Again the major difrence is... Champs hardest hiting infantry we have. Weaponmaster worriors Longriders most accurate infantry (boosted attavk rolls on charge turn)

I am not denying they hit harder with the same buffs, But you can still crack bricks with other units.

Oh yah hands down i prefer the accuracy as a selling point, champs i generally ay as my anti alpha deterrent as they are good good vecause if you cant kill them they hit back hard. (Madrak 1 player so i use a u it of each for difrent reasons
