Wow. Lots of better content than i thought. The "new" multikit stormwall/hurricane and stormblades, should be core sets customers want to buy for their cygnar army. Makes me worry a little that they sell so few of them/or have to a big stock, that they pretty much give them away.
I'm even more worried when i see all the time/money they dump into monsterapocalypse, which around here seems to generate zero interest.

At risk of going off topic, I do feel they made an error in not making MonPoc a pre-painted miniatures game like X-Wing. Building and painting miniatures is a pretty massive barrier to entry, they could have attracted a much wider target market if it was an open the box and just play style of game, and then anyone who wanted to re-paint using their own colour scheme could do so if they really wanted.

I don't think the tech is there to make humanoid/monster-like minis pre-painted with good quality painting. X-Wing has ships, so a lot more regular and details matter a lot less. I think that if FFG could have made Legion that way, they would have.

I really expect they order in Containers of these models. And have a warehouse that holds X containers worth of stuff.
With the new direct ordering and BAHI and Monpoc and Minicrate and may be some new L5R mini game, they need to have room for Y containers - so where before distributors were holding the stock for many of the resin and metal parts PP are now doing that directly, so must be having a massive sort out.
Where as before a huge pile of these models was fine - they want to cut that pile in half or more - which will make a lot of room.
They may do a different Mystery box later in the month (or already) and just be shipping these 5 out at the moment, or it might remain at these 5. Makes me wonder why no Judicator or Victor multikits? May be the ordered less of these. I don't imagine they sold a lot less.
Not at all worried about this.
Another option - they might need some cash flow. Perhaps they have to pay out a lot of money for a licence. Or prove that they can warehouse enough space for something.
There are loads of reasons to want to shake things up.

Only 5 different ones? I was hoping for something more random I guess. Having said that, I could really use the circle one, as I have been meaning to get the mist riders anyhow. I already own a storm raptor and love it, beautiful model. Now I can have its mate, and they can make me baby shower raptors...lol.
I already have more than I need of the cryx ones, I am not sure what I would do with another colossal.
I could give the cygnar one to a friend. The skorne and Ret ones are the ones I really don't have a use for.

I'm really hoping we see some more and these 5 were just the first wave. I was hoping for a Victor or a gun carriage. Or a Judicator. Or a Blightbringer. I already have two desert hydras and I don't have a lot of use for the other factions.
There needs to be more variety just so the trade market has more options to go around.

rad10hazard , seeing as you specifically call out no theme possible for Skorne, it might be worth noting that the Cryx one is only 65 points (assuming you use the most expensive, Malice, option of the kit) assuming Black Industries and thus taking 2 arc nodes for free. oncomingstorm most of the colossals aren't seeing competitive play, but both Cygnar's and Retribution's does in certain list, so it's not really fair to say they're all useless. I’m fully aware of the Cryx theme used for it, I just haven’t started a Cryx army as yet. I’m very surprised they didn’t add a Bane Thrall box instead of the extra heavy.

The aim of the Mystery Box is to clear out excess stock, they obviously just didn't have a surplus of Banes kicking around

grrrrr... Was really hoping for a possible Protectorate box. But if I can get the Ret or Skorne box I think I'll be happy to keep them. Ret, cuz I actually want them and Skorne because Hydra model Everything else would be stuff I have to sell >.>

I order mine tomorrow (stock willing), and would be happy with any of these, even though I own plenty of minis for three of the armies. Please, please let there be stock for one more day!

True, but I don't see X-wing as a modelling hobby, but a collection hobby like Magic or Pokemon. It's great for those people who suck at modelling, but there are a lot of people who get in to these things because of the modelling hobby.

I agree that X-Wing is not a modelling hobby, but it is people who do not want to do a modelling hobby that PP should be trying to appeal to with games that fall outside of their core Warmachine system. I have several friends who are avid X-Wing players, who have no interest in building and painting figurines.
I can't see many people picking up MonPoc who do not already play Warmachine, PP should be looking to reach a wider range of gamers, not just relying on the 'hardcore modellers' who play Warmachine.

Undercity is/was a really good game - because my none-warmachine playing friends enjoyed playing it. Monpoc might be the same, but with all the stuff I'm buying for warmachine at the moment I don't know if I have time or funds!

So my super small gaming group is getting five of the boxes so we get one of each, and it looks like I’ll be getting the Cryx one (I have mercs and convergence atm where they each are just starting their first factions). My question is, since I have the Cephalyx stuff in mercs, would it be worth picking up Gaspy 3 and running it as a funzy list? Or should I just sell it? Like could a Gaspy 3 list be fun enough with what’s there with added Cephalyx units or is it gonna be super under preforming and a waste of time and money?

Painting is the only reason my wife ever gives for not wanting to play minis. She has played Xwing with me and enjoyed it to an extent. Anytime i ask about another game "do they need to be painted?" if yes, she's out. Commented that MonPoc looked like a lot of fun at GenCon and then the inevitable, "do they come painted?". As soon as I said no I saw all the interest fade.
