Sales tax for mail order in the US is actually kind of a weird situation. Long story short, sales tax is usually not charged on a purchase being shipped from one US state to another. The buyer is supposed to report the purchase on their yearly tax return and pay taxes on it then, but nobody really does that. There's some political work-in-progress efforts to change this, but as of right now I would be paying the $59.99 with no sales tax or shipping charge.

I picked up two. I'm hoping that if I get a faction I'm not interested in I can trade it away for a different one with someone on the trade boards. I'm not real sure what I'm hoping for re: factions in these. I am OK with getting almost anything, though I've got almost all the Trolls except for some of the newer Northkin stuff, as well as a fairly sizeable Legion and Circle collection already so those would likey be a lot of duplication for me. The only factions I'm not terribly interested in at the moment are Skorne, Ret and Protectorate - mostly because I don't have any RPG plans for them at the moment. I'm kind of hoping for a Minions and/or Mercs to be honest. Either way, the value is pretty crazy with these. I wish I had more money

I'm rather tempted. But I've already got so much I'm trying to sell if it ends up being anything besides 1 or 2 factions it just means more to try and sell. I would literally be paying people to create more work for myself...

Does anyone have an idea as to what "accessories" PP is referring to? I thought of pins and a friend suggested maybe tokens. Any other thoughts?
Also I'm trying to figure out a what in general could be in a box. I'm thinking 1 caster, 1 huge and 2 boxes of units/beasts. It might vary a bit with things like BEs costing less than Gargossals but in general that's what I think is in the box. I'm also wondering what the "newest" thing in the box could be in terms of date of release. I'm pretty sure that Black Anchor won't be included so that means minion players will only be getting a BE and no gargantuan.
Anyway I hope people will post what came in their boxes so everyone else can get an idea of what they might get.

I ordered a box this morning. The site said to expect shipping delays due to the volume of requests. I'll let you know what came in mine when it gets here.
@zilch- the offer is at least $240 in models with at least 1 huge base and around $12 in accessories added to that $240.

And european customers get screwed once again... I never understand this particular complaint. Is Privateer Press supposed to subsidize shipping to locations outside of North America at a loss to themselves? Legitimately trying to understand what your complaint is? If it's just "it sucks that I live outside of the U.S. and want to purchase products made by an American company," which is a totally reasonable lamentation, then I don't think "get screwed once again" is the right way to describe that. What most firms do once they hit size X in the European market (and as a private company it is impossible to know if PP is at size X or many multiples short of X) would be to set up a european subsidiary (probably in Ireland - Love me some low taxes!!). That avoid much of the tariff issue, the complexities of how VAT on US direct imports, and would likely reduce shipping costs (goods would be directly shipped from China and then distributed in the Euro market). A main issue is then the tax on repatriating the income which can be challenging - and especially challenging depending on the firm's cash and cash flow position. But it is absolutely true that given the growth of the game it is probably long past time that PP take a hard look at a Euro subsidary - even more so in light of the looming trade war ;-(

I'm excited to see what I get. I'm in the enviable position that there's not much I wouldn't take.

I ordered two boxes of the faction lottery. Worst case scenario, I trade the stuff. Between my son and myself, I’m pretty sure we’ll be happy with what we get.

It gets better. The place PP has where they produce stuff for the EU market? It's in the UK

Alright, enough about the distribution of PP products in Europe. Beating that dead horse won't make it any better.

Anyone know when they ship the boxes out? I was thinking we would get them around mid august (depending on where you lived)
