I would consider ordering one just for fun if I actually lived in the US. Shipping and customs will probably not be worth it for random models

So for 2 boxes $ 80 for UK shipping
Then 20% of the cost of the item for tax.
And £10 handling fees.
So the $120 boxes costs
$120 + 80 + 24 = 224 Approx £180 + 10
so after all costs £190 for the order. Not much of a great deal for a couple of unknown boxes
This is a reason warmahordes needs a decent European hub.

I'm pretty excited about this (figuring I live in the US). Come next paycheck, I'll probably grab three or so of them

I got one. My luck, will probably have my least favorite models from my least favorite faction (no idea what that would be, but still betting this will happen), but it's still cool and a good deal.

And european customers get screwed once again... I never understand this particular complaint. Is Privateer Press supposed to subsidize shipping to locations outside of North America at a loss to themselves? Legitimately trying to understand what your complaint is? If it's just "it sucks that I live outside of the U.S. and want to purchase products made by an American company," which is a totally reasonable lamentation, then I don't think "get screwed once again" is the right way to describe that.

My group and I have decided to go in on a 5 box order, and use what we get to start a league. Should be... interesting, I guess?

That’s a fun idea, also a good way to make sure everyone gets something they want via trading. Yeah, we have some basic rules in place for how to handle certain things people don't want, mainly going to me (because I'll play anything). We also started coming up with ideas on how to deal with other potential issues (box doesn't come with a caster, what do we do? That sort of thing). It'll get us playing more, which is the most important thing.

If PP wants the game to grow worldwide they need to setup distribution channels that can support client demand. While most PP products are "easily" available there are many that are not. Acquiring them can be very difficult if on top of a premium priced product you have to put extra fees (customs or different continent shipping for example not to mention the fact that it csn get blocked in customs or some other thing. For example the cost of most BAHI is nearly prohibitive for someone living in mu coutry... with custom fees it can nearly grow to the cost of a monthly rent for some people.I am pretty sure that if there were no such high costs associated with those products you'd see much more puchases on the table. I'm not saying PP is evil or having an agenda agaisnt non-americans. I' m quite sure they did the math and chose what they consideed to be the best option to deal with this. The fact is that people in outside the US will have to pay extra.

If it's just "it sucks that I live outside of the U.S. and want to purchase products made by an American company," which is a totally reasonable lamentation, then I don't think "get screwed once again" is the right way to describe that. They are not, but sometimes non-US costumers do feel left out and it can seem like PP doesn't consider them at all. For PP's normal SKU, there are proper distribution channels and when we buy in our FLGS we pay "normal" prices, which is basically the amount in $ but in €. But lately PP has been pushing for more and more direct order products, like BAHI, though some can apparently become available through regular channels, and these mystery boxes. Direct orders cost us around 50% more, there's a set fee for customs + VAT, so it's understandable that people complain that PP doesn't make these products available through regular channels while it's possible for (most of) their other products. No doubt there is a reason for this, but PP hasn't been very clear about what that is. I asked them about it at one point and all I got was the standard sales pitch about why BAHI is needed and bla bla bla. It must be said though that their replacement parts service is still excellent. Never any trouble and never any additional fees. Maybe a question for US residents, do you pay tax on the prices listed by PP? For instance, if you were to buy one of these boxes, do you pay $59.99 or is it more after taxes are accounted for?
