I'm not sure we can crow about faction diversity when each of the team members were running WGK rocket spam as one list and all but one were running AC as their second. I assume the LegoS was in there for Cryx...

Well congratulations to them!
That said, between the three of them they already had 11 top 3 placements on DG this year, so the old 'good faction over good player?' thing is still a prominent question.
But at the same time I was reasonably sure that AC + WGK was going to be our pairing going forwards, so it's nice to see some support for that assumption! Also for Butcher 1, who I quite like as an AC caster.
I wonder what sorts of lists they played those lists into?

Some madman on another team took Butcher 1 with four chariots... I love it so much.
Somebody else took Vlad 1 with three Colossals. This is the best event ever.

Besides, most of our casters have been viable for most of Mk3. So that is nothing new or surprising...

Besides, most of our casters have been viable for most of Mk3. So that is nothing new or surprising... Uh, that kinda is a good mark of diversity. How many other factions are not proped up by only 1-2 themes currently? Themes that see a good amount of play: Cygnar- grave diggers, heavy metal Khador- ac, wibterguard Menoth- faithless masses, exemplar interdiction Cryx- anytheme (the reason they are top of the heap right now) Ret- halbs the theme Mercs- take whatever you want the theme. Convergence- all lists in destruction initiative Crucible- too early to tell. But only has two themes anyways. Trolls- storm of the north, band of heros, power of dhunia Similar to cryx. Lots of playable themes. Legion- primal terrors, oracles Circle- monowolds forever and always 1000 years wolds Skorne- winds (pretty much only rasheth), imperial warhost Minions- gators, and take whatever you want theme. If theme diversity is the only aspect that matters to you I would advise you to take up cryx or trolls. The united seem to be the only factions that make heavy use of 3 or so if their themes. The thing you are concerned with is basically how the game is played currently. I would argue that the game is in the most diverse era of its existence, and that caster diversity is much more important that what themes are being used. Casters being much more impactful and interesting than themes.

6 different casters, 3/5 themes used.. seems very diverse. Especially since one of our 5 themes is still awaiting a much needed cid.

I feel like you can't conclude anything meaningful about faction diversity from the results of one team in one event. It's pretty much the definition of a limited dataset.

Uh, that kinda is a good mark of diversity. How many other factions are not proped up by only 1-2 themes currently? Being 'only as worse off as the other factions that are stuck with 1-2 viable themes' isn't exactly what I would consider a hallmark of diversity... Yeah, Khador is no worse off than the other factions that got screwed when themes dropped. And that is only a recent development with AC coming online.

So err, if Khador ends up getting nerfed, blame Canada?

So err, if Khador ends up getting nerfed, blame Canada? It wont in fact i bet a well rounded wolves of winter will see play some time soon as well as a jaws of the wolf list, rach needs just one or two key components to make good. Here is hopping our greylord attachment and s0 allowed when needed in the two themes. Mostly due to a hobby of trying to crack a list
