Yeah, that one threw me. What that means for a variant of Zaal1's 2nd-most-common way to lose (run out of army due to being overwhelmed by a force of opposing infantry) is hard to understate. If they aren't RFP'ing, you're in the the Enigma Foundry golden age.

There's a battle report on the cid forums where the player just had them sit back and revie 6 Imortals a turn and throw out continous fire templates. By the time his opponent ground through all the immortals he was down to a few models vs two fully loaded Supreme Guardians. Little exited to try it out myself now.

I did something pretty bad to a pair of Dawnguard Sentinel units myself with a pair of them. I'll get it written up.

Just don't put it on cid lol. Would hate to see them tone it down.

So asidw from the Zaals, where are people considering using the new Exalted models?
For myself, I like Xerxis1 and Zaadesh2. The former I already mentioned, but Zaadesh3 in Exalted has always been fun for me. Rng 2 models are fantastic under feat, and Sentries with feat, Defensive Strike, Retaliatory Strike, and possibly Death Rage make me giggle. Makeda1 also seems like an option, but I've never really played her much.

Its probably under-costed. But so is the Trident. Honestly compared to the trident its pretty solid. No PF is a big hindrance to it, either leashing it to an objective or really reducing its threat range.

I see it hanging back, giving denial of souls/spells+recursion, and then countering and extended heavy that over engages. With RNG 3, even at 1/2 movement it still threats enough table on a counter.

The reason why I am hung up on its threat range is the defensive component of it. One of its natural enemies is a unit-charge to take it out. Out threatening all the 6-inch move 2-inch reach in the world was better than an extra point of armor in that regard. They couldn't do it without taking a turn to stage for it, and you can bust them up with other resources (or preempt with a thresher) as they stage.

Anyone feel like sharing with the class how it changed from week 1? Gave it pathfinder but dropped its speed to 5, with expressed reservations about the change.
