Hey all,
Starting Skorne as a second faction in warmahordes. I love the looks of the models and I'm wondering what are the models to first collect? Besides turtles. I like the look of Zaadesh 2 Titan herd but I am not locked into anything.

Paingivers, Krea, Shaman, Agonizer, Willbreaker, Soulward. Those are all used interchangeably in nearly every list.

What gordo said are indeed the essentials. Beyond that it depends on the theme you want to go for. If you want Masters of War, get some Swordsmen and Ferox. If you want Exhalted, get Immortals. If you want Imperial Warhost or Winds of Death ... get some turtles (Sorry to put it so bluntly, but our heavies are kinda shit. Might get fixed in our CiD at the end of this year.). If you want Disciples of Agony, get some Minions. The last one is probably the theme with the most diverse options. You can go for a lot of beasts (Wraster, Swamp Horror, Battle Boar, Archidon are all very good choices). Or you can go for Infantry (Croak Raiders, Farrow Brigands and Farrow Valkyries are great choices, all for different reasons). Or a mix of the two.
But first of all, grab what gordo told you to and get some games in. That's the most important part. Play and don't let the game and hobby overwhelm you.

A bit of a comment. If you like the look of Exalted...wait. we're getting a CiD in the coming months along with new models. Hopefully plastic Immortals too.
Z2 is probably the only one with good Herd game right now. Rasheth and X2 do ok with them, but just ok. There's a few more beast lists around but they're either pretty distinct (Basilisks+Turtles) or they're using minion beasts. Well I'm not totally caught up on the hotness right now, but that's what I hear.

I think running Zaadesh2 Titan herd with an immortals list maybe with Zaal is what I want to shoot for. Is there any good places to fit Tibers in or is he a cool looking shelf piece?

Disclaimer: very little practical experience ^_^
I’ve seen people advocate for Xerxis1 Immortals list, since he helps increase their damage and that can be a weakness of the theme.
I don’t think he’s a top tier caster by any means, and this a top tier list, but some sort of IWH Xerxis 2 Titan herd may be a nice alternative list to use your Zaadesh 2 Titan models? I usually see Xerxis 2 with drake spam, so I wouldn’t expect tournament winning results. But looks like fun xD
In both cases, I think Tibbers may be a good choice to run with his bff

x1 immortals is because he can help their slow asses ignore terrain without sacrificing a few of them for souls. The Exhalted lists are expensive and by no means a good suggestion, tbh.
If you want to have a fun time pissing people off, Mak2 double kitty lists are just adorable with 2 ferox units, Rhadiem (who you will be using in other lists for his magical armor penetrating spear), 2 willbreakers, and, of course, the caster Makeda2.
Titan Herd is really hard to justify, but Xerxis2 runs it better than Zaadesh IF you can hide his fat base.
You should look into rasheth Winds of Death lists if you are looking for something that will do well even on the national tournament bracket.
Cyclops Brute is a necessity for casters without access to some form of steady. Gladiator Titan can hand out rush but I wouldn't recommend more than 1 or 2. Our bird makes both Hexeris' very lethal. AND, as people have said, Disciples of Agony is our strongest theme, but requires heavy, expensive investment into minions as well as skorne.

I love seeing Orin with skorne you may want to consider bringing eilish instead. While Orin can stop annoying debuffs from hitting key pieces I've often found that the cats will be to spread out to effectively cover them. Boosted chain lightnings are good clearing chaff or killing support but the cats already excell at that. Eilish can at least still remove debuffs and strip enemy buffs. Spells like defenders Ward and arcane shield can really reduce how much work they can get done. That said if the goal is to just tie him to Makeda's hip to prevent spell assassinations after she stay deaths down to 0 camp that's not a bad idea either.

I agree with the eilish idea, however, leaving Mak2 without a shield guard is a bit risky. Even if it's just the 8pt brute, you're also giving her access to a 1pt animus that essentially grants you steady. This will make the krea pretty useless with his animus and increase the value of an agonizer. After the ferox have them engaged you won't need to worry about shooting. Instead, you can push the aggy up a bit and have him use his null spell cry to make their caster's cry x.x when I look at your list I see the lack of a solo hunter. Consider the 6 pt efriit scout as a rather cheep way to safely take important pieces off the board. He's super fast and has a nasty repo, good range, and an armor piercing gun. If I remember correctly, his normal threat is over 20 inches on a pow 7 gun that negates half of the opponent's base armor.
