Hi! I just tried Madrak 2 for the first time. I usually play Kolgrima or Gunny and I had no expectations at all. He blew my mind, right off. My champs killed like 9 Houseguard rifledudes, and around 3 Houseguard axepeople. Skaldi by himself killed 6 axepeople, 1 rifledude, Eiryss1, and put a big dent in a Griffonbot. That`s only what the champs did. Is he better than what I thought or was it all luck with the dice? Do you guys ever play him? Also, any tips on good lists to share in Sotn? I might try him out som more.

Only thing you really don't want to see is a lot of tough infantry. Otherwise it can handle a lot of the field. Brawler with Primal is an absolute monster on feat turn.

I figured bears would be pretty terrifying on his feat turn, done they have three initials. Range 1 is a definite limitation, though.

Long Riders will do a lot of work on feat turn. Has anyone had any experience with Bashers under Madrak2? With their animus up they become MAT8 POW14 which seems decent on feat turn.

You can't ignore the Kriel Warriors since they can do serious work at any time but the meat of the list is really the double bears and Long Riders. Seems interesting to me. I'd love to fit a Brawler in instead of the Earthborn but the points just didn't work out.

Actually that may be falling in to the eternal trap of building too much for the feat. The long riders will kill everything within 12" of madrak except heavies, so having two heavies of your own is probavly better than having more feat potential with Rök and Axer...

Depend though, because Bears and long riders will also kill heavies. I think the BG is better at killing infantry because of warpath. So I personally would skew that way. But it’s a preference thing.

Why the shamans? Just to score? saxon is probably better than one of them. Also it allows you to have both pathfinder and mat 7...
