Yeah, Gwen is really bad. I hadn't even realized how bad until I did a write-up on her recently. With the seven-point grenadiers being a never-taken option, it's doubly hard to justify a solo that costs more than half that. Gwen Keller does everything that a stormblade and grenadier does, and the only things she has that those units do not is quick work, and five boxes. I'd rather take grenadiers. But I don't, because they're not great either.

I see Gwen as a good flag capper. 15/15 5 boxes is not trivial to move, and she's less pivotal than say Arlan or the Captain. This doesn't make her good by any stretch but she's not literally useless.

Our FEMALE (FFS she's a lady) Gwen Keller is indeed good as a flag holder. Other uses of this model are just trivial. I thought exactly that the day I saw her for the first time, and I haven't changed my mind. Journeyman Warcaster said really bad on my native language. We call the Storm Strider "Disco Ball" and stuff like that.

To op. This is a melee based nemo 1 list. It is intended to go up into heavy armor (17-21) range with moderate hit boxes. This list is intended to see compeditive level play into list with no more than 4 battlegroup warnouns outside Casters. Nemo 1 Storm division. x1-Squire x2-Stormclad x2-Stormblade Infantry (with) x2-Stormblade Infantry Officer and Standard* x2-Stormblade Infantry Storm Gunner x2-Firefly* x2-Tactical Archanist Corp. List gets one Attachment free. Notes: Nemo 1 is good with a limited battlegroup so i chose two Stormclads as with Accumulator each needs to be activating within 3 inches of a Storm Knight model it can gain a free focus. This means Nemo 1 can fuel each beast for 2 and have accumulator top off the warjack. At p+s 19 it is also one of our hardest hitting models in faction. I have tried Nemo1 in Storm Division with double Stormclads, but it never felt good to me. He doesn't do much for troops outside of Deceleration, and we can't sparknode after the new update. It is nice when you can almost neuter a Warjack heavy list to get the alpha or prevent strong retaliation with his Feat, but he doesn't really dial them up or shore up their weaknesses.

So I have played two more games with the double Defender list. Recaps below:
Game 1: Skarre1 Dark Host with Kraken, 2x Wraith Engines, one unit each of Bane Knights and Warriors, and a couple Necrotechs.
Scenario was Standoff; he went first. We both moved up and the Defenders both shot the Leviathan for decent damage. Turn 2 he healed some damage and moved up some without Feating. I got the Kraken down to 7 boxes with Strider/Defender shots and put Nemo's Shrouded Defender into it but rolled horrible damage at straight dice. I also should have Feated, but it wouldn't have mattered. Then he smashed the Defender and Centurion and put Feated huge bases in my face. I am able to finish off the Feated Kraken, but he'll be 4-1 and will easily score two more on his turn.
If I had finished the Kraken Turn 2 it would have been a different game, but I was on my back foot from the start.
Game 2 1/2: Played Doomie3 in Mirage with Mountain King, Mulg, Brawler, Axer, Stone, and Janessa.
He puts all Doomie's Fury on the Stone and runs everything forward. Both Defenders are within 23 inches of Doomie and can get LOS around the forest so he dies. Rewind and play attrition. Long story short I really screwed up. I had a really strong scenario advantage and wasted it. We'll call it a learning experience, but this particular match should have been almost hands down a win if I weren't dumb.

Each of which is 13/11 one box without immunity to blast damage. You could make the case that being in three different bodies gives about equivalent durability and I couldn't say you'd be absolutely wrong though. The one point can be crucial if your list calls for it, I suppose. On a side note, Storm Callers should totally have force barrier too.

But the best part about them is that they don't need to support your troops so you don't care if they are standing on a flag some place. And while standing on the flag they can potentially do 20 inch ranged attacks. Then you can potentially get some work out of them. I like that they are less then 2 points for a solo. I would love them having more abilities and separate them out into 2 point solos :-D

The mission of stormcallers is to be: 1st B2B to a flag 2nd at exactly 12" of being B2B with the flag the 1st one is holding 3rd Not in range of anything.
It does not matter the profile they have if you score 3 turns with them
