So, there seems to be an unclearity in the rule, which says "choose one ... model the spellcaster moved within 2" off".
Which I took to mean that at some point during my movement, I must have been within 2". A friend of mine says it means I should end my movement within 2".
I replied that, for it to definitely mean that without a doubt, the rule should have said "moved to within 2" off.
To which he said that in order for my interpretation to hold without a doubt, it should have said "has moved within 2" off".
Either way, the rule as is, is ambiguous. How do you play it? Has this allready been clarified at some point?

Its not ambigious your friend is just wrong
if the effect would only occur if the model with slipstream ended his movement within 2" it would say that.
i get where he is coming from but of you take into consideration the wording of other effekts that trigger after movement (say, countercharge) it becomes clear that slipstream only needs you to be within 2" of the model and some point during your movement
