Got a game in over the weekend:
B2 vs Kallus2, scenario was Spread the net.
The lists:
Voodoo Gators: B2 Blindwater Congregation: -Blackhide -Blindwalker -Bone swarm x2 -Soul Slave Full GMP w/ void leech Full GMP Boil Master & Spirit Cauldron (BM&SP) x2 Bokor and Shamblers Bone Shrine Husks x2 Feralgeist
Legion: Kallus2 No theme -Blightbringer -Ammok Full Raptors x2 Min Chosen x2 Spell martyr x2 Eilish Garrity
Deployment: Gators won the roll and chose to go first. Legion chose the side at the top of the pictures.
Gators deployment:
Legion deployment:
Round 1:
Gators: Everything runs! Both cauldrons dump corpses into the Bokor. GMPs dirge mists and run up. I send the blindwalker up the same side as the bone shrine, need to stop doing that. B2 puts up swarm, EoBN, and onslaught.
Legion: Everything runs! Both sets of Raptors move up and shoot at the GMP, managing to damage a couple and repo back a bit. Chosen run up the center with the blightbringer behind them with str/arm aura. Kallus sheds a fury and moves up behind the blightbringer. Spell martyrs run forward, the right one bases the flag.

Round 2:
Gators: Upkeep for free, husks ambush in behind both units of Raptors. Husks both charge a Raptor in the back and kill it. Bokor pops out 6 shamblers and they all run forward. BM&SP both advance and fill the boneswarms. Blindwalker shifts over to get LOS to the left side raptors. Soul Slave hits the lead left chosen with hunter’s mark. Both GMP get run/charges and manage to take out 1 model from each chosen unit and damage 1 other with help from the left Boneswarm. Wrastler takes the right zone. Feralgiest runs to contest the right flag. Right boneswarm puts up swarm and charges into the center of the right GMP unit. B2 hits the left raptors with rebuke, puts up swarm, EoBN and advances forward with his bone shakers around him.
Legion: Kallus moves up and puts battlelust on the right raptors and left chosen. Blightbringer shifts up and puts up +2 str/arm aura and shoots the clump of GMP and boneswarm on the right, boosting to kill one GMP and damage the rest and the swarm. Ellish moves over to try and get rebuke off the raptors but is out of range. Bleeds a green GMP for a couple points. Right raptors get a charge into the right GMP and boneswarm and manage to kill all but 1 of that unit and the boneswarm. The one engaged by the Husk kills it and dies to the explosion. Repo to contest the right zone and clog the feralgiest. Ammok shifts over to take away the feralgiest’s incorporeal. Right chosen shift to body block for the blightbringer. Left chosen go into the GMP and manage to kill 1 and wound another while body blocking for the Blightbringer as well. Left Raptors advance up to contest the left flag, swing into the husk and not kill it, and damage a couple other GMP. One BM collected 4 corpses, the other collected 1.
Round 3:
Gators: The blightbringer is within 12” of B2, just has a couple chosen in the way. Drop rebuke, upkeep onslaught for free. The last right GMP kills the Raptor engaging the wrastler. Bokor and shambers get a run charge with 2 shamblers doing a 2 man cma into the raptor in the trench and actually manage to kill it. BM with 4 corpses fills B2 and boosts a spectral lash into the raptor near the forest, dice spike and kill it. Wrastler charges the one chosen on the right and kills it. Soul slave hits blightbringer with hunter’s mark. Other BM moves up and boosts a spectral lash into the lead body blocking chosen and pulls him out of the way. The GMP and blindwalker on the left beat up on the left raptors. B2 puts up EoBN and swarm and charges the blightbringer, taking a single free strike for a couple points of damage from the pulled chosen. Burns through his fury and feats to kill the Blightbringer and sit on 4 fury. Boneswarm kills the pulled chosen. Gators gain 2 cp. 2-0.
Legion: Kallus battle lusts himself and charges B2 for the hell of it. But is stymied by his def 17, forcing one transfer and missing the rest of his attacks. The rest moves to contest.
Round 4:
Gators: B2 has himself a Kallus2 sandwich.
Victory to Voodoo Gators!
Thoughts: I’m still surprised how well B2 is able to bully around the board. Essentially as soon as the blightbringer got within 12” of B2 it was dead and since I kept pushing B2 up the field, it wasn’t going to be long till they collided. I was surprised how much I actually didn’t miss Wrong eye and Snapjaw. Granted the only accuracy fixing in my opponent’s list was the cav charges and the blightbringer, the combination of EoBN and a strategically placed boneswarm with its animus up did quite well to keep the GMP alive for a bit. The GMP weren’t able to really do much to the chosen after they charged in, I actually forfeited their second attacks on the turn they charged since I was at dice -6 and didn’t want them to heal. I enjoyed having the double spirit cauldron in the list. Dumping 6 corpses into the bokor first turn, filling the bonewarms turn 2 and finally filling B2 turn 3 worked really well. Along with spectral lash, which I have found myself using at least once each game.

Dual Cauldrons and dropping WE&SJ is a thing

Dual Cauldrons and dropping WE&SJ is a thing While my initial game with without WE&SJ went well, I still think it needs further testing.
It does look promising.
One thing that WE&SJ does indirectly is eat up your opponent's clock. With both EoBN and Starcrossed up there are lots of measurements that have to be done to check which model is in which spell area (not sure if that would have to be done on my clock or my opponents). Once that is done they have to do some quick dice manipulation of rolling 3 dropping one. While it may come down to only adding a couple of seconds per activation, they can add up.
On the subject of double cauldrons, I'm a fan. Being able to almost max out the bokor first turn is amazing. On feat turn I was able to heal up B2, fill him back up on fury, heal the one boneswarm back to full functionality and still had a couple models in the unit left! And I think my order of filling models was optimal. Bokor first, then boneswarms, then B2. This way my feat got prepped first turn, boneswarms got filled the turn they went in, and then B2 got filled the turn he was committed. Now to work out list/points so that I don't have to use them as my free models.

Hey just a question about his feat, with the timing of it do you have to choose it all at once or as you remove 1 model you choose 1 corpse and 1 fury or for go the corpse and fury and heal D3 health?

Solos:
Support:
Soul Slave: He likes everything the Soul Slave has to offer and can be taken as a free solo in most themes. A free upkeep of onslaught and spell slave to get out another hunter’s mark or rebuke can help spread out his spell over the battlefield without having to expose Barnabus. Not necessarily an auto-include, but would be a worthwhile free model. Not sure if it was missed or just syntactically ambiguous but rebuke is an upkeep and can't be spell slaved. No big loss, but might be confusing for new players to read here.
